Description

Finally: official Motocross is back! Put yourself to the test, racing in the two MXGP championships with all the riders and bikes from the MX1 and MX2 categories! Take up the challenge from the promising young MX2 riders and the MX1 champions, and join them on the tracks!
Race on the official championship tracks, faithfully reproduced for the first time in a Motocross game. Get yourself noticed in your Debut Season to attract offers from the official teams and launch your career in MX2. Race your way through the events and, with the right results, you'll be able to aspire to an offer in MX1 to take on the heroes of Motocross.

Installed it, played it a couple of minutes and now its gone. Not so fun.

And also, it did not support WQHD resolution (atleast not the demo).

It's not a bad game in my opinion, it just lacks some depth as it's the typical arcadesim-y racer from Milestone. But they have improved the graphics in this one (the real-time track deformation is actually pretty cool) and handling on Pro is quite rewarding. Razz

There are still some problems with this engine though, enabling v-sync for example automatically turns on a weird 30fps cap for me, there are some slowdowns here and there and the default AA is very taxing.

Had a lot of laughs with it aka falling. But dear god at the controller response time, it's hardly playable at times. Track looks nice but models look like 5 years ago.

Anywho, not something I would buy unless extremely discounted. Sport has quite a following in Belgium but I was never into it. Have it with most sports: rather do them than watch them. So yeah I ended up with my Puny Honda MTX crossing in the Belgian forests instead of watching that stuff on tv Laughing

It depends on your liking, the tracks are the official ones here, so you won't have freedom to explore the environment. Razz It's all about learning the layout and managing throttle control. Jumping is actually easy and quite automatic (it's not a sim).

Mini review:

+ Good graphics.
+ Real time mud deformation works quite well.
+ Pro Handling is challenging.
+ AI is very good even on medium. They avoid crashes and give a good challenge.

- Real time mud deformation pop-ups.
- 3rd person camera is too far for me. 1st person one works great though.

I haven't checked the modes yet.
So far it's the best motocross game since MM2 imo.

1st person cam! fuck yeah Surprised

Gonna try the demo and if its really awesome, might get the full game for mp.

Loved these games in the motorcross madness era.

there was another game similar to this one release around the same time on PC.

Can't remember the name, but was awesome.

I'm surprised. The game is actually not bad at all !

I set it up in inspector (had to create a new profile and attach the exe) with 4x sgss (dx neg lod to -1.0, in-game FSAA is set to 4x) and adaptive v-sync. Then some sweet-fx but without the crappy SMAA, some technicolor to make the colors less vivid and more realistic. Gamepad support is good. Cockpit camera is great, 3rd person cam is also ok, but who uses it?? oh, don't forget to remove the video files entirely. They're crap quality and useless.

No trackir support. Thought it'd actually be cool with this, but no. I'm guessing it'd be pretty cool with VR though.

Well worth 20$ or so. Is there an update already?

Don't think so. Will check for you when im home.

The game is fun.

Played online a few rounds.

Its a nice mix or acrade and sim, especially once you start utilizing the body shifting.

They really nailed the handling in this one, it's not a sim but not arcade either, a fun cocktail very much like WRC3/4. Milestone finally managed to get their shit together lately after some past failures. Thankfully all these good licenses haven't gone to waste ^^

edit: seems like the multi is "free" Razz

So i wasted 10 euro? Mad

Nah, I don't mind as the game is fantastic, we should have a hump race if free and legit mp can play together Smile

I wanna upload a vid, but it takes ages on my connection.

Got 10 or so hours of just online racing with no assists.

At first i was always last and could never finish the race before the time ran out lol wut

Now i can fight for 3rd or 4th place.

Epic game. Just wish the sounds were better. Bikes sound very underwhelming for me.
