Based on magazine leaks and a report at Andriasang, Capcom is working on a Resident Evil Revival Selection. Little is known but apparently, the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions will include two of the most popular titles in the long-running franchise: Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Resident Evil 4. Both will be in "HD remastered form" and RE4 will also feature Ada Wong's "The Another Order" scenario; as for 3D or Move/Kinect support, we're not sure. We also have no idea when it might arrive, but this revival begs the question: might it be an indication of Resident Evil 6? Collections such as these often come to light when a new title from the same developer is nigh; the God of War Collection is one example, and we heard about the Tomb Raider Trilogy right around the time the reboot was fully revealed. Obviously, it's a tactic designed to drum up interest in the series. |

Code Veronica is more interesting to me I can't remember last time I was playing it..and that was only once , ofc RE4 is nice addition too but I played it for about 4 times now..

+1, i played through RE4 so many times, like probably most other ppl. they should start with RE1-3+veronica first, those games have been released a decade ago and never got a remake (well except the first one, but even that one was years ago)

They already remade the first on gamecube and it was good.
How can they exlcude 2 that was when the series really hit its peak godamn 2 was awesome especially with the branching storylines.
If they make another there better be fucking zombies and not some dumb african shit.

it would have been fantastic if it were a revival that would make the same impact as Code Veronica had made when that was first released.
After playing the original resi's on a psx with all it's jaggies and distorted pixellated faces of Jill, Chris, Barry etc etc, to then suddenly seeing the smooth graphics and how nice and lush Code:V looked on the dreamcast round a friends.. (followed by Jet Set Radio, and Soulcaliber, even that dibby toy game where you would fly around a kitchen/garden/living room in a miniture plane dogfighting the other player, lots of fun tho.. just to confirm how the psx, from that moment on, really was last gen.)
Point is, it felt like a proper upgrade to the originals!.
these are just half-hearted made filler games to keep momentum with the launch of the upcoming resi titles. Seriously some of you laugh at how shit these games look, but back in the day this was really good quality graphics. It is dodge, how they still look the same now though as they did back when.. They do themselves no favours as a properly made remake would most likely still sell lots.
"Remake" or "Revival" is stretching it "Milked" would be more apt.

Still, the GC/Wii version of RE4 was the best one (not counting PC with the oodles of texture/visual mods) -- so a properly upscaled version would be ok. I'd still prefer RE0-3 though
