Much more appealing than the Pandora, the price is substantially better, though the advent of cheap Android SoCs means the 1.5Ghz dual-core A15 and SGX544 is a bet anaemic :\

This has been demo`d running two version of the PSX emulator, a browser and a terminal session at the same time.
Yes, It`s not quite cutting edge... but look what they managed with the Pandora that has 1GHz (+ overclock support) ARM Cortex A8.
Quote amazing.

My point is, the hardware isn't cutting edge but they are looking for a higher price than a competitor from the likes of JXD or GPD, who offer top end quad/octo core procs with enhanced GPUs. And even they sometimes struggle with DC, so I wouldn't hold my breath for too long about this and DC-- especially not Wii either, as Dolphin Android is insanely demanding
Still, it *is* a mighty device and much cheaper, and more fully featured, than the Pandora; so yay! I wonder if SpykeZ is looking at getting one? iirc he was the only Humper that had a Pandora.

Posting an opinion, on a public forum no less, that doesn't jump for joy over your product is "pissing on the news"? Jesus Dude I have, repeatedly, said that the device looks incredible, I've said that it's vastly better than the Pandora and I hope it does well - I merely lamented about the low specifications for today's market and questioned your claims of "Wii/NextGen emulation" Did I look at the specs? Yes. Did you?
Pyra
32bit Ti OMAP 5 Dual-core 1.5Ghz ARM A15
PowerVR SGX544mp2 GPU
2GB or 4GB of RAM
32GB onboad storage
Dedicated controls + keyboard
5" 720p resistive touchscreen
6000mAh battery
€500 (though if you preorder during development before it's released, you can get it for €350)
JXD S192
32bit nVidia Tegra Quad-core 2Ghz ARM A15
nVidia Tegra K1 GPU
2GB RAM
32GB onboard storage
Dedicated controls
7" 1200p capacitive touchscreen
10000mAh battery
€260
The S192 is cheaper than the Pyra and is higher spec'd. By its very existence it's a competitor and would actually be more capable for emulation, though obviously it's not going to be a "full Linux system" with a keyboard. I really don't appreciate you saying I'm pissing on anything just because I bring up what I perceive to be a negative aspect. You *can* call out something's downsides without negating the entire system, you know. The system is great and it's going to be a very impressive handheld - but the buy-in price if you don't pre-order now is very high (much higher than I thought it was yesterday) and the specs are low for the price.
Portability + full desktop OS + keyboard is definitely what's going to sell the Pyra to its target audience, no mistake about it

Ah, so it's €500 then? That only reinforces my point and removes my earlier praise about them pricing it better than they did the Pandora.. oh well. Yes, the JXD has HDMI out, pretty much all of these Android handhelds do.

It`s an extra 100 if you want LTE/GPS or GSM/GPS with all the sensoes ( Altometer, Hygrometer, Barometer and compass )
