This global turn-based strategy game puts players in the robes of a Grand Mage fighting for the control of Ardania. While territory and control is nice, the ultimate goal is to be the one and only mage with the title of Warlock. You will have to utilize strategy, armies and dozens of spells in a symphony of doom to attain victory. If being an all powerful being isn’t something you are interested in, battle on behalf of one of eight gods.
Looks kinda like elven legacy? I loooved that game + fantasy wars. Or is this like more like civilization? Without changing map every time for a new mission? Anyway looks very nice.
A costal human city of blue faction with the 1st level castle, the warrior’s guild, the market and the outlying farms.

On this screen you can see the Dragon eggs (a type of resource) and the angry mother nearby. Note also the back of the Оgre and a random walking Daemon wood to the right. This screenshot depicts the three most wild and ferocious creatures of Ardania. Critics still argue whether the fact was an intensional move by the screencapturer or whether it was just his subconscious fears that forced him to make such a screen.

Two coastal cities with only rogues and hunters as defenders. Will the giant spiders bring destruction and mayhem? I don’t think so, my lord. But if you allow your old adviser to give you an advice, it would be wise to prepare for future battles and to hire mages, clerics and some warriors in the guild you have built already. As they say, if you want peace, prepare for war…

Your Lordship, here is but one example of tactics you can use for taking the ruins. Swordsmen at the front, hunters at the rear, some rogues at flanks to commence the final blow and some magically summoned creature as the bait. But I'm sure you as the Great Mage know this last better than me. Am I right, Your Lordship?
Ardania has suffered a lot during the Dark years. The immense use of magical energies brought to it not only the peace but also the global warming. Lands are shuttered and volcanoes are everywhere. I advise not to go out without the fire protection shield spell cast upon you, Your Lordship.

Become a legendary Mage in the Majestic world of Ardania
NEW YORK - December 7th, 2011 - Paradox Interactive and developer Ino-Co Plus today announced a closed beta for Warlock: Master of the Arcane, an innovative turn-based strategy game scheduled for Q2 2012 that pits players as powerful, empire-building mages as they war for dominance. To celebrate, 20 new screenshots has magically appeared!
Set in the Majesty series’ fantastical world of Ardania, players have to manage cities, muster armies and enlist the help of three unique races without neglecting their wizardly training- dedicated scholars will find that a new spell combinations or powerful enchantments can be as dangerous as an army.
Beta applications will be accepted from today (December 7th) until December 14th, and our winning would-be wizards will be notified by email on December 16th.
Some preview sites claim that 2K licensed Civ 5 engine, but folks behind Warlock say it's a Fantasy Wars engine.
In Angry Joe Video Preview, marketing lady says they deliberately make game look so similar to Civ 5 as they think GUIs in 4X games need to be unified, same way they are unified across different RTS and FPS games.
This looks fun as hell - Civilization V except with swords and sorcery instead of boring historical units!
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.
