That specific GTA IV version for PC worked pretty well, Rockstar Advanced Pc Engine or RAPE for short, and it really lived up to it's name as performance was truly raped across a vast number of pc systems both around and over recommended specifications. (The above post is meant to be humorous, as a small disclaimer most ports tend to be a bit like this on PC after all. ) EDIT: In the end though hardware catched up and Rockstar got praised for having patched the performance. (Also humor, they did a good work with the support for the game, I can't say otherwise but of course there were snags like the online community and the whole DRM thing.)
