What happened to all the noobs begging for warez? Eight years back or so this site was flooded by kids looking for teh 2rentz. Each day there always were a couple of blockheads requesting warez... and consequently had their asses banned while the NFOrce geek lords cheered and celebrated.
Things just aren't the same anymore. What stood out for me was the day when the dreaded GTA San Andreas was released. The site slowed down to a crawl while hordes of new 0 post members logged in to search for download links in the NFOs and threads. And even the site's source code <_<
Maybe it's the proliferation of Usenet access: with a news account you can leisurely download only everything that got released the past 2 years. As fast as your connection can swallow. Warez seem to have become too easy to come by.

The kidz these days are quite crafty when it comes to internets... I mean look at 4chan, it's comprised of 12 yr old kids and 50 yr old pedos

It's a shame to admit but I don't know what Usenet is.  I never used it. I'm only on p2p. (But I don't download warez that massively.) |

I've tried doing that and it seems to work mostly. For example "SKYRIM MEGAUPLOAD" and with some clicking you have links for plain old HTTP downloading. Kids these days... you no longer have to pay or give blowjobs for private ftp axx

I've used a lot of DC++ as well. The T1 exclusive hubs with 1500kB/s uploads, that was the shit. Leechers sucking your ass just so you'll stay online long enough for them to finish downloading the crap.
And IRC as well. Scouring Packetnews, long queues and if the bot finally did offer you the download... it went offline soon enough and what's left is an unfinished download. Which means fucked up because resuming an IRC download would nearly always result in a corrupted file. Prehistoric shit (^^ )
And the Filemirrors site to find http downloads... Got me Halo and Warcraft 3 for free. I used the GetRight download resumer to grab "large" 100MB apps with my 56k modem. YAY

Teh internet has evolved, having warez material is mainstream these days *insert hipster nerd here*, and everything is accessible with a single click..which isn't that bad after all!

Yes, you're right. That was in 2006 and I was a noob back then. Didn't know shit about dowloading warez. Friend (who appearently was just as noob as me) had recommended it to me and I was using eMule for half a year or so. Then I found out about torrentz and didn't give a shit about eDonkey crap anymore. It was slow a s fuck. I remember downloading 1,4 GB movie for a week or so...  That was sick.
It wasn't that bad for mp3s though. Had good search function.
