Way to go Yerli.
Quote: | The work of all individuals responsible for the games should be immensely proud of what they have achieved under the circumstances of a bullying mentality given at CEO level. Monthly meetings were met with speeches worthy of YouTube in hilarity with lines such as “You should all be so proud to work for Crytek”, yet demanding six months of crunch time due to project management failures. This caused certain members of staff to suffer both in medical and personal ways.
This polluted work atmosphere has resulted in the resignation and / or unlawfully firing of:

What's the problem? People being fired and leaving? Isn't that common practice in game development? Dev studios are in constant flux afaik.
PS. I didn't know there was an "amazement bubble" around Crytek.

I hope
-that all the people that left/got fired find a better replacement soon
-that the company fails, leaving Orly and his inflated ego forever alone
And nothing of value was lost that day

He just wants to make Crysis 3 the best game ever. That's why he's been putting lots of pressure and demand on his employees to work harder.

Did you read the very first sentence?
It refers to someone working in the industry commenting:
Quote: | My sources make me way more inclined to believe that blog more than CryTek upper management and PR. |
a few posts bellow. And another one replying "same here" and providing inside info:
Quote: | Edit: Staff crunched at Crytek earlier than February 2010. Around that time "MAXIMUM CRUNCH" became a running joke around the german industry. The claimed 3 months are ridiculous. |

I did, both sides make good points. Why would I believe one side more than the other?

I don't see anything wrong. I'm in the software development industry, and let me tell you people tend to leave more than get fired. I know a guy who's basically just been travelling countries working for a year or so for different companies then moving on. Of course he's very good at what he does so it's expected really.
OK, someone else agree with me and say "same here" so consolitis will accept my word as fact.

Well for one the management wouldn't say "yes we are terrible, don't work for us".
So it comes to the validity of that blog post. Either it's a troll, or..?
And given a couple of responses in that thread by people working in the industry and the huge amount of issues Crysis 2 had (and I am not talking about "oh noez teh texturez r lo rez", I am talking about the Nanocatalyst bug, the completely broken AI, the appearing/disappearing decals, the z-fighting on some surfaces, the broken animations, the "we didn't catch 2 AI bugs" confession of Cevat, and the "we didn't have time to do DX11 on launch") I am going to guess that indeed they were in crunch mode for a long time.

From the number of resignations given won't the current projects be cancelled?
1 and 2 are still amazing.

they treat their fucking CUSTOMERS like shit, so its nice to know its atleast a consistent company...
dont know why you bolded out "staff suffering in both medical and personal ways".. its incredibly misleading without context... i mean if someone has a headache or stubs their toe because they were running, or had to miss out on a couple of weekends of downtime, its hardly that big of an issue....
now if there were suicides or people were cutting themselves because they couldnt take the pain of having to dumb down crysis 2 constantly, i could understand... so context plz, what medical problems?

I still don't know why some comments on a blog/forum are more reliably than an interview, but I'll let it rest. The big evil company is naturally always evil.

The source is coming from who? The guys who filed the lawsuit against Crytek demanding more cash? Why, whatever basis could they possibly have for demanding such. Oh wait let me guess. Is it because they suffered both in medical and personal ways? But if you're readily willing to believe their side, why aren't you readily willing to believe Crytek's? They both have no ample evidence apart from allegations.
Again, as of now this is just lopsided. The only reason I'm more willing to believe Crytek is that I've been in software development for a couple of years now, and in the corporate world, it's really more back stabbing between employees. It's more likely that those people simply left after Crytek refused to give in to certain demands or they scouted by another company and so on. Most developers don't stay long in one place if they're ambitious.
So be more level headed and rational when it comes to believing reports without any proper evidence and only alleged sources.
