i can't remember many games who makes me actualy jump in my chair..movies i can find few like the The Grudge, but one game that makes me jumpy was doom 3 ..all this darkness and mosters around..work very well in my case:) and maybe in few days A VS P 3 will be good to you too if you will play the marine camp.

fear didn't do it to me at all...only the action was outstanding, but no fear at all:D

The Suffering was great game..good combination of fear and action.

RE games..maybe the first 2 will do as scary games:)

Condemned is also recomanded, good atmospher and great gameplay.

deadspace was big disapointment in my case.

SH games are cool..scary atmospher, recomanded.

If you liked undying then you could try: Clive Barker's Jericho.
Less horror but it's a nice shooter.

If you don't mind playing on a emulator I suggest checking out forbidden siren 1 and 2 for Playstation 2. Really scary games with perfect atmosphere.

Hell, if we're going the emulation route; FATAL FRAME! I think Fatal Frame 1 is pretty much flawless on PCSX2 now.

thats makes me thinking of playing this mission..will look at it on youtube first:)
and speaking of oldies and not too old...there was a game name "THE D" and i had the original version 2cd's pack and it was out around 1995/6 , this was an adventure game very scary..there was hunted house and ghosts used to popup from the walls and whisper and surprise the player...was preety scary and not easy to slove.

thats what i am talking about:

If you bought a fairly high end EVGA since May of last year and also registered it, you might be eligible to get Crystasis for free. I happened to catch mention of it in my EVGA newsletter, went to their site and sure enough, I was able to download Cryostasis and Crazy Machines 2 free.

As for Cryostasis, it got fairly low scores, but it's kind of cool and the effects are quite nice. It hasn't really had those "oh shit" moments, but the story creates a good atmosphere of horror and despair. Surprisingly, it has kept me intrigues. I'll likely beat it and uninstall it before too long. At least it was free for the legit game.

Yeah, that goddam hotel was creepy as all fucking hell... I lost count of the amount of times I jumped, and it wasn't just cheap scares either; I spent the entire mission with my hair on end just from the atmosphere and audio.

The same for that horrible Cradle mission in Thief 3.

Resident Evil Archives for Wii.
It's a remake of resident evil 1 with better graphics and new stuff added. It's running fine on dolphin emulator.
I liked this much more than the newer resident evil games.

Ontopic: Cradle level on thief 3 is a must and so is Silent Hill 2.
