Hey all, I had a question about newsgroups. I am a subscriber of one that claims to have anonymous downs and ups. What happens if I let a friend of mine use it to grab some stuff? What kind of risk is involved? Want to let him go ahead, since I'm already paying for the newsgroups, but don't want to get myself in trouble either. Thanks!

None whatsoever although you're likely restricted to a certain amount of simultaneous connections.

What Dryan said - the only restriction is number of connections, which depends on with which company you use for NGs.

Say you are allowed six connections; tell your friend to use max three and then you yourself also use three.
