If you downloaded Dragon NaturallySpeaking v8.0 Preferred (c) ScanSoft
and winrar gives you the error "Next volume is required", you can change each rar file name from pnt-dns8.001 thur pnt-dns8.054 to pnt-dns8.001 thur pnt-dns61.001 and it will work

if you just right click and select the option open with..

and open with winrar

you will see the file and just extract it ....

and that's it !!!!

you dont have to rename it, although the renaming also works

Why not just use Powerarchiver? It's much better and handles more formats.

BTW, this app seems to be very cool but only in english though. I have a swedish app called Voxit VoiceXpress and It's pretty ok. Otherwise Scansoft makes very good products. Omnipage is a very good example.

# Faster Than Typing!
Most people speak faster than 160 words per minute, but type less fewer than 40 words a minute. That means you can create letters and e-mails about three times faster using Dragon NaturallySpeaking!

Sounds very good. But damn I don't want to dictate in IE. Do you think it will work with firefox?

The swedish version will probably just be the Voxit one, probably version 6. I still need to know if it works with firefox. It must be a plugin or something available.

Am a lilttle confused Confused about which of the DNSP8 versions has been nuked - Is it the Shooters released version or PANTHEON released version - Is it the Multilanguage or other? Can anyone help me on this one? Confused am I about what the Nfo's say and what has been said here. Thanks! Confused

Seems like the DNSP8 release just disappeared from the nfo database. The standard Phanteon has double entries. I would say that either one of the phanteon releases should be working. Don't touch the Shooters or the DNSP8 release.

Yes.. Get any of the two PANTHEON releases.. Stay away from the SHOOTERS and you'll be fine..

1. ScanSoft.Dragon.NaturallySpeaking.v8.0.Preferred-PANTHEON
2.*ScanSoft.Dragon.NaturallySpeaking.v8.0.Preferred.BiLiNGUAL.WORKiNG-PANTHEON
*This release is to correct the faulty rls of SHOOTERS.. Inlcudes other editions of English + German..

K...think I've got this sorted. The 1/5 rel. is the one with the unrar issue and the 1/11 release is identical except the unrar issue is fixed? (Not refering to the multilang. rel. or shooters).
Am I close? lol....
