Anyone here has a copy of Autodesk viz 2005 and was able to get it to work? I followed the instructions of the nfo file (which pointed to an install text in the pantheon directory), but that didn't work at all on my computer. Then I found another crack from paradox for this program and that too didn't work at all for me as well.

I remember a few people on the old shareconnector forums that said they got it to work, but the rest of the 100 people I talked to said the cracks didn't work.

Thanks for helping if you try to help.

Replies already, wow, you guys rock. Very Happy

But yeah, I actually found half a dozen 'WORKING instructions' around on the net.

The one you posted I did indeed found. Few things though I noticed is:
1) Most of the instructions point the Network License Manger in the NLM folder, but the cd doesn't have such a folder (it does point to the NLM in the setup program tho')
2) Did the dragging text onto the .exe, last set of instructions I found finally said to actually drag and drop.
3) Restart the server, there's no button to specifically do that but there was a "Start Server", "Stop Server" (with force server shutdown checkbox), and "ReRead license file" buttons. I assume restarting the server meant click stop then click start.
4) After doing all this, I run the program and it tells me that it can't find a proper license file and asks me to point it to the license file, at which point I point it to the license.txt (that's been dropped onto the .exe file), and then it tells me "a valid license could not be obtained by the <NLM>. Try again.
Error [1.5.-95]"

That's why I was looking for someone that already installed the program themselves. I'm obviously doing something wrong but I since I'm following the instructions best I can, I can't tell what I'm doing wrong.

from Autodesk Viz 2005 Instructions To Install Crack.txt
---
OK, i got it to work. For some reason the license generator would not make a valid license file if I tried to save it in the "license" directory of the network license manager. It would create "license.txt" but would not convert that to a valid "license.lic". When i saved it to "c:\FlexLM" instead, it worked fine. Weird.

The install instructions were unclear. It should be more like this:

1) Install the app:
-Choose Network install and enter your computer name as the server
-Install the network license manager from the Network Deployment tab on CD1's autorun menu.
-Generate a .lic file using the included crack.
-Open LMTOOLS in the Autodesk start programs menu and on the first tab, configure it to use the license file you just generated.

That should do it.

maybe that Smile

Instructions worked perfectly, only change I had to make to them to get this to work was to take out the "mentalray.dlz" file out from the 'stdplugs' directory, seemed the program stopped loading everytime it got to that file......... Confused

But other than that, it loads and works and everything! Yippie!! Very Happy
