no. she went on the ellen show where they explained the situation and what happened and gave away money. this is more awesome.

She speaks pretty good for a woman who couldn't hear before... I know that deaf people are able to speak quite normally, but it usually sounds kinda weird because they have no "feedback". But she sounds just normal?!

deaf doesnt mean you cant hear anything, it also means not hearing certain frequencies, it could be that she heard tones, but couldnt figure out what it was, she also had other hearing aids before though they were crappy.

It says she couldn't hear for 29 years. Look at hear, clearly she isn't in her 30's yet. So if she was deafened after birth, she couldn't have been older than a year or 2...

also she was only really not hearing correctly for 8 years.. she was trained from a young age with other tech to hear of sorts.. missleading post
