|
 |
I get messages every now and then from people, some new, some been around for a while but I don't know them cause they only post once in a while.
I usually require they have been here for a while and I know them. Now lies the fault in that requirement, I don't post here a whole lot anymore and I don't read many of the sections anymore because of the 4chan trolling.
As of now I really only have guys who've been here since I have that I know well especially Tonitzo (or however you spell his name), Neon and a couple others, because I know and trust them.
So what I want the fellow humps to come up with is some sort of system. I could put my main giftee's up as my own personal VIP and if they vouch for someone, I can trust their word for the vouchee?
Throw some ideas around

With the way that things are here right now I think it wouldn't be that hard for anyone to corrupt me into vouching for them.

It's mojayiz mozaji moy mo TONIZITO!
@topic: You are right SpykeZ, but there are so many great guys that just stay under the radar, I'm not sure if you'll really find a "perfect" system to filter out the bad boys. But what if one of your trusted guys gets fooled and vouches for the wrong person. Will he be liable?
To much of a hassle. If you didn't have any trouble til now, you must've made something right, so I'd go on and think about this step when someone actually fucks you over

Why do you need a system? Just trust guys you know, when in doubt ask someone you trust. Postcount, regdate, sexy avatar, it's all meaningless on a forum. There's no system to filter out the assholes.

nobody did, i just asked him if he could gift me the max payne bundle which was on sale for 3.74$ recently. i never asked him before so of course he's skeptical.
Mister_s is absolutely right though.. you can't filter out the assholes. but if someone not very known here wants something gifted, i'd definitely say money up front.

how about this: to be eligible for the amerika fuk ya gifting you have to gift at least one game in a group giveaway on steamgifts!?
i5 3570k @ 3.4GHz | ASRock Z77 Extreme4 | Scythe Mugen 2 Rev. B | 8GB G.Skill DDR3-1333 | Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 OC 3GB | 64GB Crucial M4 SSD | Dell U2312HM

The problem isn't not giving money up front isn't the problem people getting their money back from paypal fucking things up badly? Correct me if I'm wrong.
I mean why would you ever not ask for money up front otherwise unless it's someone you obviously know very well

hmmm what about this...
what if anyone that you DONT know you can trust, you get them to give you access to their steam account? get them to put the funds into THEIR steam wallet, then they give you the steamguard code when you log in and then YOU can buy the game for them with their funds, but from the cheaper region.
that would work, wouldnt it? and then after youve made the purchase, they can change their password...

i thought the problem was paypal and its total willingness to fuck you over at the drop of a hat, if the person who sent you money lodges a complaint...
