Don't you need any beta key to play these ?
By that i mean that those are not open beta and that you need to have a lame fileplanet or 3dgamers suscribed account to play (in DD0 cases in particular)?

Eve Online, Saga Of Ryzom, Horizons, RF online are all p2p. SOR and Horizons look very nice though. DDO will go p2p within few weeks. Auto Assault is in beta, ill give it a try.

Saga of Ryzom looks okay..but I played it when it was in Beta, wasn't great. Unless they've changed it massively I wouldn't waste money on it.

Auto Assault is the worst shit ever. Sure, it looks coo, like drive a car in Carmageddon style.
But it aint, the physics are waaaay arcadey, feels like some old Rally game. Like if you drive a huge truck you cant turn it over on a five cent coin, but according to this game you can.
It's very shallow, the level cap is 20 at the moment, but I guess it will be raised.
RF Online is like L2 with new skillsystem and futuristic weapons. The graphic is worse too.

Totally agree with you there man. Besides that, the game feels like City of Villains, only difference is you are driving a car! Another thing is there ain't no half-ass decent driving music in the game, plus there is no social aspect of it either. It's just mindless grinding. Waste of fucking time.

has it occured to you that most people want an arcadish game? No one wants to play a Realistic car simulation game in a MMORPG. the reason a truck can flip over is because it looks cool while in combat, no one wants to hit something for 2 minutes and not see it move at all.

lol, complain about music in a Beta game, the whole point of beta is to test the game, why would they make you waste an extra 10 minutes of dl and install time for music, which is not needed for finding bugs in the game?
like City of Villians? have you even played the game? in AA everything is destructable, see that sign outside the city? yes, you can destroy it, see that Hellion base? yes you can blow every piece of it to shreds. The game isn't in the least way, similar to CoV.
mindless grinding? you can say that for every MMORPG out there, people love WoW, but it is still basicly mindless grinding, just that people have fun doing it, thats the most important in a game. in AA not only do you grind, you can use the environment to your advantage. Plus the quest system is one of the best I have seen so far, it is very much like WoW's except it doesn't have the repetitive "go to X to kill Y number of Z" or mailman quests.

I'll agree that Auto Assault just isn't that good. I've been following AA from the moment I heard about it, and this weekend I finally got to play it thanks to the fileplanet beta event. Wow I was dissapointed.
Yes, it has nice graphics.
Yes, it has cool cars and weapons.
Yes, the driving around is cool and how everything blows up.
But besides all the glamor, the core gameplay is horrible.
The missions are mediocore compared to the random mission system in anarchy online. The social aspect of the game just sucks, because you really just cant. No real 'quests' per say. Zones are overall just bland, and the world isnt a world. It feels like each area you are in, are what they are.. zones. It doesn't feel like an actual world like in other MMO games like SWG, AO, etc..
And overall the game just gets boring after the fun factor of driving around blowing things up.
Looks like i'm still sticking with anarchy online. The only MMO that has managed to keep me interested for a /very/ long time.
