|
 |
I have freestyle dash, i see theres a "Xbox Classic Games" tab, i tried running one of my backups the normal way, tells me ot redownload the games. Then i used the Copy DVD feature and send the game in my GAMES directory but still not showing up on FSD dash.
Am i doing something wrong or we cant play Xbox classics on JTAGs.

Yeah, you're missing ONE step; the "hacked" BC emulator. Here you go, sir!
http://digiex.net/downloads/download-center-2-0/xbox-360-content/homebrew-jtag-content/3899-hacked-xbox-1-backwards-compatibility-v5829-november-2007-download.html
Quote: |
The following hacks were done to the emulator:
* Xbe signature checks removed (lets you run unsigned code)
* Xbe section hash checks removed (lets you run hacked xbes)
* Game region checks removed (region free baby!)
* Game media checks removed (play games from your hard drive)
* Debug/Devkit xbes supported (run your own xbox1 code)
* Attempt to play unsupported games (doesn't mean it will work hehe)
To install this, copy the Compatibilty folder to your devkits Y drive.
If you have a Jtag hacked console you want to copy this to Partition 2, it might be advisable to backup the original files first.
The author of this (I presume Xorloser?) states he left in game ratings checks in case you dont want your little ones to play violent games, however this can be toggled in the dashboard anyway.
Quite a few games that are not on the official backwards compatibility list appear to be working fine, such as:
Castlevania: Curse of Darkness
Crazy Taxi 3
Metal Gear Solid 2
Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones
Note: it will boot (some) Xbox 1 homebrew as well, however don't expect everything to work perfectly.
|
=Note to mods: this is a modified EMULATOR, it doesn't contain any games/etc. Still, if it violates the rule ssomehow- simply remove it and I can send via PM instead=

You need to create Partition 2. The Y drive is for XDK/Debug units only... for standard machines, including JTAG, it's Partition 2. P2 needs to be on the internal HDD and you can load XClassics from internal or external as usual.

Find a USB stick and use Xex Menu:
1. Use "Xbox1 HDD Compatibility Fixer" this will create Hddx on your JTAG. Run .xex
- http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AWOR5AJA
2. Download the original Xbox emulator files:
3. After downloading and extracting both files, you should see two folders labeled "Partition 2" and "Partition 3." Anyways you have to transfer all files inside Partition 2 (compatibility and tdbx) to Hddx. After that take the folder inside partition 3 ($TitleUpdate) and stick it in Hdd1.
4. Last step is to download hacked compatibility:
5. After downloading and extracting you should see a folder labeled "Compatibility," take that folder and stick it in Hddx. It will ask if you want to OVERWRITE say YES.
6. If xbox1 games cant get pass the white xbox logo screen, update to latest dash launch. With hacked compatibility a majority of games run however there a few that don't.

I hate fuckin around with those things, always scared to fuck somehting up for good.
I'll see if i really want to do it, after seeing that most games have some issues, might be better to just take my old Xbox out of the closet.

Probably best, mate, emulation is sketchy at the best of times... at least the XB1 runs the games flawlessly and you can run them all from DVD or off the HDD.

Original games do, yes, but original BACKUPS won't.. no. They need to be fixed and then reburned as DVD9. There's only three games I would do this for; Dark Alliance, Dark Alliance 2, Brotherhood of Steel. Sadly my Xbox isn't online, which means I couldn't do it even if I wanted to -- the emulator needs to be updated from MS servers, which requires online access.

Same name, different game. The console version is a Snowblind action RPG, like Dungeon Siege 3 and - of course - the Dark Alliance series.

You know, I've been itching to try this for a while now with my JTAG as I have quite the back catalog. Thanks Sabin! That's twice in two days that you've helped me. Keep this up and I might become one of those Americans that are nice to foreigners...
