So I'm playing BF3 on my i5 750 and ASUS mobo on Tuesday afternoon when suddenly the PC reboots and then boots up for 1-2 secs and reboots again and keeps doing this in a loop. I then unplug all the cables at the back of the PC, open up the case and I boot her up again, but this time it stays on, although there is a red light on CPU test on the mobo. The fans and case lights are all working, OK so I'm thinking either the CPU or the Mobo has had it seeing as I've be o/c the fuck out of it lately. No point fucking about so on Wednesday I ordered a new MSI board and i5 2500k and a 560 Ti to go with it.

The stuff arrives yesterday and I build the new PC. I went to boot it up, but no dice. Ring my mate who fixes PC's for a living and he doesn't think it the PSU. I phone ebuyer technical support and they don't think it the PSU they think it's the mobo but I'm not so sure, so I take it to the local computer shop this morning and they find that the OCZ mod extreme is faulty. What a fucking ball ache and a waste of time and money. Those diagnostic tests on the mobo are both misleading and shit.

I have been using OCZ 500W StealthXStream for the past 2 years and it is rock solid. Paid $19 after rebate. So, you must have got a bad one. Always replace power supply first when t-shooting.
