And yes, they are 60 year old complete douchebags who have nothing to do the whole day besides complaining about other people. They are pretty sad people in my opinion.

Something similar happened to me when I still had the old apartment near the uni. We didn't use to make noise at night, but that particular day was my roommate's birthday so things went slightly out of control..
The neighbours (70 year old) wanted to call the police as well, but luckily we managed to convince them (don't remeber how since we were all drunk)..still it worked. Although I think they pitied us

They are a tad to old for my tastes.
Srsly though, my lawyer friend just told me, the court could intervene but it is not mandatory. He thinks they will most likely just let it go.

Ahh, if there have been previous complaints made against the premises, then yeah.. I guess that would be grounds for the court case. It's pathetic though - I really do sympathise with you. Hopefully the courts do too. Good luck!

It's just as stupid as getting a TICKET $25 for being at the park after 9PM..
Going to the court, spend 7 hours, be told that case is dismissed.
