Quite shame. My friend own a N8. And it's still an amazing phone.
I would jump all over N9 if at least one of the U.S carriers would have it, but NONE of them OFFER any Nokia/Sony Ericsson phones.
It seems only EU gets all the cool phones :/ and US get's all shitty mainstreamed phones
New Nokia & Sony Ericsson phones, don't even have support for 3G on T-Mobile USA. Last phones that supported such a frequences were N9, and SE X10 :/

I was speaking of the MeeGo OS rather than the phone itself, but it is an impressive piece of hardware. Similar phone will be the the Nokia Lumia 800, but WP7.

I could sell G2x for 300$ or even $250. Because that's how much phone is worth.
Fuuuuck, I will try and buy N9 by end of the year ...Just to see it

My friend has a N8 and it's a giant piece of shit.
The interface is slow and unresponsive. Crashes at least once a day. Poor reception. Long ass loading times for even simple apps.
The only thing nice about it is the build quality. Everything else is a joke.

Colleague of mine has it and it comes away a little too good. It's pretty heavy. The front glass is way to thick and sticks out as if it has been cheaply glued to the case. You can always see some micro stuttering when moving things. The multi tasking is nice in meego, but there are often slowdowns. And the camera app is OK, but it does not feature ANYTHING extra ordinary and definitely less than most phones in that price category. But the carl zeiss lens is pretty good and it beats my SGS2's camera in dark light situations And now the part that bothers me the most. The screen is not really good. Yeah it's amoled and you can see that the blacks are real black but the subpixels are SO visible :/ And they are not ordered in a grid. It looks like the Galaxy S subpixel layout
600€ is what my colleague payed for it and I'd say that this is overpriced.
In the end you'll miss the real app support. The colleague is waiting for some updates.

What is the point in anything Nokia does these days? It's like they WANT to fail. There must be some reason why they'd choose w7 over Android, yet I cannot see it..

Windows Phone 7 is a pretty good operating system but it is a little bit too closed, just like iPhones
