Too bad some of those weapons end up in Mexico. But I think it should be everyone's right to trade with the Mexicans. It is your constitutional right to provide bad guys with guns!

We have to arm Mexico before we goto war with them..it is the way of things.
Honestly though very few people can handle the Barrett properly.. most of the shit that goes to Mexico is AR-15's and some other tactical rifles. Even then they are left with a top and bottom half..no additions..no training..and just firing wildly with dirty ammunition.

Violent video games + public acces to guns + messed up psychologies for half the country where the other half is riddled with egocentric bullies = people wonder why there are school shootings, random acts of violence, murders, shoot outs... you're enforcing the derp stereotype.
Right to 'bear' arms should be right to free health care and social support. But.. it sure is fun to unload a gun onto a moving target...

Might have been the case with old Tarus, mine isn't sharp the least bit but I also shoot with range gloves on. I've put 200 rounts through it in an hour and didn't feel any pain or anything. Gloves only cost about 15 and are a good investment, helps your grip a lil bit

Difference between people who shouldn't own guns owning them and those of us who are trained and take the safety of their use serious.
Anywho

There really is no difference. Everyone has a breaking point. And more than half of the kids who did shoot up schools had safety training and gun training. Otherwise they wouldn't be able to remove the safety, know how to reload a firearm, or how to properly shoot it.

Probably the best saying used by the Open Carry associations in the states is that "Criminals will not care if they have permission to use the gun". Those that train safety, practice and discipline with a gun are much less inclined to reach that point in my opinion, and if we do the only thing that is going to happen is we will have better aim.

Kimbers are over rated anyways on top of being made in China. They rust really easy too.
if you're going to pay that much, get a Nighthawk Custom

Since it was used, it actually felt great. Not to brag or anything especially since I'm not overly skilled in any way, but my very first shot with that 1911 was damn near the bullseye.
I personally love the Springfield I have. It really is a great pistol. I've tried some other 1911's and the only other one I ever shot decent with was a Para Ordnance (forget model though). I have a couple of other 1911's that I inherited more or less, but I haven't shot them in a long while but I know I wasn't as good with them as I was with the Springfield.
Edit: You know what? Now that you mentioned about the racking the slide part, I definitely recall it being a bit tougher than the other pistols I had tried out. So yes, their springs are quite "firm". Even to this day (I've owned it for about 3-4 yrs now), it's STILL one of the tougher slides I have on a pistol.
Speaking of trigger jobs, I got my 90-two worked on by a local guy in Southern Cali due to a deal I gave him on another pistol I sold him. If you're in the area, I can recommend him and might be able to get a deal on it for you since he said next time I needed a job done, he'd do it for free.

That's great to hear.. I've heard nothing but great reviews from the springfields even thoug htye are expensive. They shot straight to the front of the pack with the X D M and X D - 9.. They'll never overtake Glock but i'd love to see that happen.
Para Ordnance has some fantastic 1911's too.
I had a similar exerience with the X D-9. First 100 rounds I just chewed the hell out of the target.. had to push it back another 5-10 yards just to get the same challenge. I'm by absolutely no expert shooter..the gun just lets you really put it where it needs to go.

My collection: Apologies as it was taken with a cell phone camera a couple of years ago. It was crappy as you can see.
