Hello, I can't seem to find it anymore but there was some commands that you could put into your autoexec.cfg that would help system performance while playing Steam online games. Any1 know what they were again?
Thanks

are you sure the command was not something like
C:\internet_speed\trojant_client.exe -hide ? Razz

seriously I doubt autoexect.cfg could help doing anything (especially to steam), this file run all the command written in it (through dos console) and doesn't even exist anymore in WinXP

I may be wrong but I beleive he is referring to the autoexec.cfg in the steam game folders such as counter strike. I for one use them all the time.

make a new text file, open it, and just type cl_smooth 0 in it.

save it, and then rename it from a .txt file to a .cfg file *and rename it so its called autoexec.cfg

then drop it in your half-life 2\hl2\cfg folder

Ok thanks, I'll try it. There was also some commands relating to AMD and Intel CPU's ?? also, are any of these above commands going to cause a quality loss as well? and I'll try the tweak guide to Smile

We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.
