ugh.
i dunno.. when i think fps i think more about the single player aspect - whereas i concider the multplayer aspect as part of the multiplayer goty group.
my point is, battlefield 3 is a great multiplayer game, but if i look at it from a singleplayer fps context, it kinda sucks.
likewise, the shooter aspects of deus ex were kinda meh, i found it much better suited for the whole sneaking around stuff, or the third person cover shooting aspect.
and rage.... yeah, no.
and portal... nice game, but not as an fps.
so that leaves me with crysis 2. which i think ill vote for. i still think it was a huge step down from crysis, but it did 'spectacle' pretty decently, and it was a decent little run and gun shooter.
so take that for what it is... im probably over-analysing it.. in fact i know i am... but ima give it to crysis 2, because ifor single player shooting fun, it was... sadly... the best.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution wasn't a FPS for me, I played the whole game stealthily.

I considered DXHR a Rpg in the previous thread, but in the Fps category it definitely gets my vote (instead of BF3)

portal is a puzzle game... it's not a shooter.
deus ex is an rpg and shooting is just part of it.
bf3 is good in mp but totally shit in sp
so that leaves rage and crysis.
cod:mw3 should be here as it does have a better sp campaign than bf3.
Duke Nukem. Fail to a lot, but decent to a few as well.
Brink also wasn't bad in sp.
bullet storm was decent in sp
fear 3 came out this year too.
Flashpoint. Some people loved it.
like... srsly. Deus Ex shouldn't even be in the nominations, neither should portal or bf 3.
This is a fail poll. I wonder if people posted for gears of war many times, would've have made it here?

so racing games as well would work in here... right?
there were plenty puzzle games that came out for pc.
plenty of rpg games as well.
So many games fit into fpp that bf3 shouldn't even be here, neither should rage, or crysis. 
What eves.. it's in all good spirit of orsom games we get...  voted for deus ex as it was a surprise hit for me. Got exactly what i expected from the other games.

seriously what was so bad about rage? i dont get it? it was a solid shooter in my books, i had fun, except for the absoulte horrid ending.
but serious 60 fps, great graphics, cool guns, great ai? what am i missing
