The Wave is not any better than your wildfire really. And there will be alot less apps for Bada than android.
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X | Noctua NH-D15 chromax.black | ASUS Crosshair VIII Dark Hero | 32 GB Trident Z 3600Mhz | Gigabyte Aorus PCIe4 1TB SSD | Corsair MP510 1TB SSD |ASUS RTX 3080 Ti TUF | Fractal Design Define 7 | Seasonic 850W Platinum

screen is great, media player is great, bada is fast easy to use and has a good core functionality. big problem is - no apps.
I would switch. If you don't like it, sell it and get a better android phone. you'll get much more for the wave than for the wildfire.

If it's the OS holding you back from making the decision, you can flash Android on your Wave aswell

Look into custom roms and shit, if you want to use the full power of the device.
Stock it runs pretty shit compared to custom, altho it takes some time to read and learn all about it, or you do it the way i learned: By just trying and hoping for the best
Anyway, bookmark this forum, you will need it ^^

Most of the community there is really nice (tho bitch about searching for shit nonstop), so just ask there if you are stuck, but virtually nothing can go wrong if you just read abit about it

Thanks, i dont think I will overclock it tho. It is powerfull 800mhz snapdragon(reviews say that its faster than it sounds) and I dont want to lower battery life by overclocking cpu.
but. is there an app or something, so I wont have to use power button for unlocking/locking phone? Power button in desire z is small and its up top, which is just uncomfortable. Maybe trackball ?

Get used to such powerbuttons, it's virtually a standard now
But just read in those forums about OCing, it's 110% safe and doesn't eat up much battery with a proper rom.
But don't be confused, a custom rom is pure a customized version of the OS with UI, most times stripped down of shit that isn't needed and cleaner code for the UI.
Kernels are the ones with OC and other system things that can be harmfull if you don't have the correct one.
I can search for a good rom if you want and link it, been on there for year and years and know who are good "chefs" (the ones that cook a rom )

Without root virtually everything with change in system things is not possible.
I can tell you over and over and over how much better you can make your own phone by doing the right actions, but you will have to find out yourself
After that you will say that i was right all along

Ive never said that I dissagree with You. Offcourse not. Root is a great thing for android phones;) And I guess I could easily(say so) do it...
But there seems to be many variables and things that can go wrong in the process(as i was reading root for noobs on xda for desire z) In addition i would have to know what roms in whar versions to use, with what applications, kernels and plenty of other overwhelming stuff.
I know its all great to have more chooice and i know that If I would do it then I would be lost. I am that type of person who goes crazy when having too many options. I would install different roms, tricks, drivers, compare them like crazy to get even 1 fps of advantage. I would be tweaking with everythging for days and last hours of this phone until I would permanently brick it or some functions
Ive done this before with my pc, games on pc and older non android phones etc. Its that state of a mind which will make me fiddle wiith options and config files more than actually play a game/use device.
It sound stupid I know, but after 14 years with pc, ive found my little soul peace with console gaming where, is almost no options in games well not to say that I had a bad time with my pc gaming. Oh no. Most of time I was just playing games (maybe after little bit of tweaking). It is ocing and options when my rig was getting old and Ive wanted to achieve best maximum for the time being:P
But nothing stands in a way to just root it and leave just as factory as it is now i guess. Only tweaking cpu and wake button without other changes. I will think about it when i will have more time and after i will check how the phone is performing and when I will be more/less sure that it will last and i might loose warranty safety.
Anyway. This topic is busted and is way off topic now. I will make another thread when i will want to root desire z. This topic doesnt even have it in title:P
