The way that I've always done it is to just draw a line and use keyframes to animate it. I'm sure that there are some great tutorials on youtube and such. Just look for, "animate lines," and that should do it. As for embedding links in the video to other videos, I have no fucking clue...Smile

I prefer to do these: instead. But that's just a preference. And they are a bit harder to do. And, you might also want to look up some rotoscoping tutorials as well, that skill comes in quite handy for post. Good luck!

Yeah, thats what I thougt, but how can you draw a line in Vegas? (noob question?) The embedding links to other video's are easy. It's are the lines that are difficult.
And yes, I searched on YouTube for animated lines, but it's rubbish.

ulead video studio 11.5 or whatever neweest version is.

Last time I used it couple of years ago was version9.0 and I could do all the things for basic/medium video editing.

Maybe they made it even better with new version

chances are those there have been downloaded.
but stuff like this is easy.

easiest way is to do it in after effects and animate a bunch of lines. (or anything for that matter)
don't know about vegas but you can use a coloured slug and crop it and animate it.

but for those videos those things seem like templates.
(user made templates that they charge monies for)

so if you dig deep in youtube you'll find similar things.

but it's best to do it yourself, or look up how to do it

Vegas has some tuts. (i think)

After Effects.

lot's to tuts here http://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/ if you want to incorporate fancy stuffs.

There are tons of ways to find a solution for this. You have to learn them or just try and be creative.

For example in After Effects you could just take an image (png with transparency for example) with the final line image layout and just create masks that hide that image and make that masks move over time.

When I arrive at home and have some time, I might try this myself and if I am successful, I'll describe how I solved the problem Smile

Thanks guys Smile
And to be honest, I've never worked with After Effects, only Sony Vegas.

ae is super easy if you're gonna do that Laughing

but most edit software have a coloured matte that you can manipulate. add a fake wide screen and such and use key frames to move it. it takes more time to do it in edit programs and it wont look as well, but it's doable and with youtube being a massive whore now, you can find plugins and tuts anywhere and some software comes with already made templates.

but i'd suggest ae as it's easier and it's a decent skill to learn. or even for fun. and if you know how to use photoshop (which i suck at Sad) it's sooooo much easier.
