Some review screenshots up on Bsim
http://www.bsimracing.com/
"The Test Drive series will continue next year with a Ferrari-centric driving game. publisher Bigben Interactive announced the acquisition of distribution rights for Test Drive: Ferrari, which it will release in Europe on March 20, for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
Producer of the game: Slightly Mad Studios • Games publisher: Evolved Games."
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-11-22-test-drive-ferrari-announced
"Blimey! Games, which Slightly Mad acquired back in 2009, had a licensed Ferrari title in the works, which was then reportedly held up by legal wranglings."

Yeah, seems to be that... always wondered what happened to it. I would really love this game to be something like Need For Speed: Porsche, but with Ferrari cars instead. As much as I love SMS, I'm a bit sad that they're making this, because it seems every game they make must be only with track races.

I knew something had been mentioned about this before but any of the searches I did didnt show up any results.
Looks like it is the Ferrari Project, a pretty small fry publisher it has if its Evolved Games, last entry I see from them is August 6, 2009.
Wonder who SMS ie Blimey will blame for the physics this time

Judging from the screens the game looks like Unleashed but with Ferraris. It's perfectly fine for me

Works with copy and paste
Is this game is pre Shift if it was made by Blimey ? ,same company as SMS just a different name or something that SMS did after Blimey folded.
Graphics engine changed between Shift 1 and Shift 2 unless they revisited it for release,
it looks more Shift 1 that 2 to me.

for fucks sake, i hate being a gamer more often than not with titles like this all we ever get for racers on PC.
and.... i didn't even comment on that it's basically going to be nothing but a commercial for ferrari in the disguise of a video game. |
yeah and you have to race instead of customize car and drive with PoPo`s. and by drive i mean push gas button

TDU + TDU2 were the only test drive games ever worth playing imo.
and yeah i admit, the ancient ones back in the days of the original playstation, open world wasn't feasible back then really without shit graphics, but damn, why do they always have to do a complete 180 with a sequel to a well established series?
test drive games that were on track only have always sucked, you can call it "sims" if you want and frankly i agree but it was still much more fun to drive around and explore the world and just generally more fun than the rest of the series combined, also.
how many years do we have to wait for an open world racing game that's worth playing?

What exactly is the "established series"? Because TDU is a spin-off of TD, notice It's not TD7: Unlimited. Likewise, this is not TD7: Ferrari.
I bet you also argue how NFS is an established series of Underground yo yo yo "turrum tum tum, parara ra ra ra" neon and Shift did a 180 on the established series.

For everything that TDU2 is, being fun to drive is not one of them. Some of the worst fucking driving mechanics in history right there. And yes, I'll call it the Sims Edition, because that bullshit aspect got more attention than the driving mechanics or, you know, the racing part.
You're the one who went on about "the series" - newsflash for you: the TDUs are not "the series", TDU1 is in fact #9 in "the series".
Had this been called "TDU: Ferrari" - then you would've been right. TDU has about as much to do with TD as the Shift games do with NFS (the past decade anyway): virtually nothing.

The "old" Test Drive games have always been poor arcades for me, even Need for Speed was more interesting.
Test Drive Unlimited changed the formula and made it more enjoyable, then TDU2 ruined everything again
With this one they're bringing the tracks back, but with a more serious look (official tracks instead of fantasy ones) and probably a realistic handling..I can't say I'm not happy
