yes they say its enough 4 a long time if u buy a 7800 gtx or 2 !!
and u buy the whole crap and still wont get the full experience in the near future !!!

Its too bad microsoft removed that polyaltering feature from dx10. They once said the new dx would contain a feature allowing the real-time alteration of polygonal models, in other words it would have allowed real-time model deformation which could be used for engines allowing destructable levels like red faction had it once just programmed with the engine. DX featuring this would have benn a lot faster, and graphics cards would have started optimizing their hardware just like it happends with shaders...

Would it impress you to know that whenever new gen parts come out, I buy them as soon as they are out, and then practically give my away entire old computer. Like my previous computer based on p4 3.8, x800 xt pe, 2G of ram. Or the one before that, which was based on AXP 3000+, 9700pro, 2G of ram. You know why I do that? Because I used to be poor, and couldn't afford good stuff. So, I like help out, whenever I can, to friends who are in need. A jackass like you, on the other hand, would not get a drink of water from me if you were dying in a desert.

as for dx10 well it wont be out for like another year or so by the time its out we will probably see advanced cards that will be running pretty good with emulated dx8/9

All this means is that game developers will drop support for DX8/SM1.x cards and add a new codepath at the top end for DX10 when it becomes available. One way or another, DX9/SM2.0 & 3.0 will continue to be supported for at least another few years. Microsoft might not care about supporting legacy hardware, but you can bet your ass the game companies do.
