Why would you need a crack? WoW plays without the CDs in the drive. How could this even work, you need a %100 server-side account which is made through their site, it has nothing to do with their binary. Perhaps this just allows you to play without a server...

They probably packed an old emulator in there, or that lame sandbox hack from way back in the beta.

Yeah, you need a valid account to play online. It may be a sandbox tough.

Well there is a cracked server somewhere around, just search google for blizzard and hackers and you'll find a site where the url has something combined from those 2 words.
PS I do believe with the online crack/patch whatever coming soon is very doubtfull, they would actually have to hack into there databases, all the personal information is stored serverside, this isn't something like steam to crack.

Servers more stable? Yeah they have been some US server issues, but ive been in Final Beta since it started and a bit in closed, no issues at all, 74ms ping always, not much server lag either, the most bugfree game ive ever played.
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 RAM: 4gb Kingmax DDR2 800mhz Video: Asus GeForce 250GTS 1gb Sound: Asus Xonar.

I beg to differ. The US WoW servers have been up n down like yoyo's. The servers are still basically in beta, it's pathetic.

The amount of server-power required to "emulate" a WoW-server is just not available "at home" - there is little or no point to this release.

blizzard says, pay us Monthly, and NO! NOTHING FREE, BUY the game too...
won't win me over as a gamer... people are actually willing to do that tho eh?... i got enough things to pay in real life, dont need to pay for a virtual fantasy life... |
Well they actually do give you something new every mouth..... this qoute is taken from www.worldofwarcraft.com ''A dedicated live team will create a constant stream of new adventures to undertake, lands to explore, and monsters to vanquish. This content ensures that the game will never be the same from month to month, and will continue to offer new challenges and adventures for years to come'' so im going to buy the game when it gets out in the stores.....

That makes sense to you? The US servers are fucked and unstable because Blizzard didn't expect the fucking zerg rush, 200.000 new accounts in one single day, the servers are packed. US servers were ok before the release. Of course it makes sense that you play ok now, as not many people are beta testing, but it makes no sense that you compare the beta servers to the servers that will host players and the amount of lag in the future when the game has been released. Do you know how many people will buy WoW, how many people already bought WoW in the EU? the servers will be packed here as well. Saying that retail will be ok lagg-wise cause you have no lag in the beta is like saying, it's ok..... the cinema isn't busy when they are not showing a movie and doesn't have enough seats to support everyone.... and yeah... been in the EU beta since the start, long before the final.....

Technically that would be a step back. Imagine 100 players in the vicinity of eachother, 100 players that need to balance the load, and send out information to 100 players, updating positions, actions, etc. at the same time... every player would have to have a computer with the capacity of a regular MMORPG-server to handle it, and all the bandwidth required! ... Gah!

If this is true, and the game works on a LAN then it could be fun.
Can anyone who grabbed this comment on this?

Actually, what that team will do at first is deliver things that were supposed to be in the final game but didn't make it in time for the release, so they'll give you stuff that people were supposed to have in the first place and tell you that you should be thankful for it because it is free, additional content.

How would this release work in LAN? You can just create your own server? Are there enough uglies in there to keep couple people interested in playing through?
I would buy the game in a minute but I will never pay a monthly fee.
