Quote:
A full HD remake of Cinemaware's classic WWI Amiga game featuring never-before-seen content!

If we achieve the minimum funding goal, we will recreate the original game in all its glory – but this time, with full HD graphics & sound, enhanced animations, a revised UI and enhancements to the control interface in order to support current input methods such as touchscreen control. Our target platforms are iOS & Android devices (tablets and mobile devices) and Windows PC. Potential future platforms are Macintosh and videogame consoles. The game will be DRM-free and no additional content will be up for sale – you get the whole game in its entire, original glory!

Oh nice... that's what a "HD" remake should look like it! Very impressive.

They need her to get the mobile/tablet crowd to support it. They have a PC port since mobile/tablet crowd isn't enough to get the monies.

I agree with you.
Anyway I've pledge it. I can't resist to this combination:
WW1, WW1 aircraft and Amiga nostalgia. It's just a too powerful combo for me. Razz

Wings never was that good tbh. - most of Cinemawares' games were pretty bad.
Red Baron for the PC knocks this game out of the water.

Yes, yes I'm back.

Sure. You'll have to wait one more year. Most of the projects are for 2013.
So it's better to pick up a chair.

True. Still, Wings was one of the best games for Amiga.

I wouldn't have counted Wings amongst my favourite Miggy games, but it was very enjoyable. I'm still waiting on a HD remake/port of DreamWeb and Moonstone.

I'm shocked, daily, that there hasn't been an update/remake/reboot/whatthefuckever to Moonstone. I replay it every few months (Amiga, of course, since the DOS version sounds like crap) and it STILL stands the test of time.

No. I've played a lot of titles.
Usually speaking with people who have played games in Amiga, it's quite common to people refer to Wings as one of the best titles. This information is corroborated when you go even to sites like Lemon Amiga.
Even in "Over Flanders Fiedl" community, which has a lot of ex-Red Baron players, it's a cherished title. The game recreated a great WW1 air war ambiance, with the story, the music and the characters.
Undoubtedly, one of the best games I have played in Amiga.

Cinemaware games didn't stand out because of their gameplay I don't think, but because of their audiovisuals - the cinematic experience if you will. Shit just looked crazy impressive at the time.

Moonstone wasn't particularly sophisticated either, it was just insane fun, especially if you had a buddy to play with. And of course the gore had a huge appeal. There was nothing comparable at the time. It would be perfect for a remake what with the multiplayer craze these days. Though it would suck if they had to tone down the violence for a teen audience.
