I played with this a couple years ago and had a blast, actually forgot about it until Waldo posted a Lego video in the epic thread. Apparently I never posted it so here ya go

Quote:
LDraw™ is an open standard for LEGO CAD programs that allow the user to create virtual LEGO models and scenes. You can use it to document models you have physically built, create building instructions just like LEGO, render 3D photo realistic images of your virtual models and even make animations. The possibilities are endless. Unlike real LEGO bricks where you are limited by the number of parts and colors, in LDraw nothing is impossible.

Check the forum for custom made pieces like this:

Black Pearl

Quote:
in the computer game LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean there are small ships (minikits). I tried to rebuild the minikit of the Black Pearl. I attached the result.

Looks cool. I'll be definitely checking this out.

Long ago I used to play a game where you could build with Legos but from first person perspective. It was quite interesting.

So this is basically a virtual Lego? I never had official Lego packs when I was a kid, but I had other cheaper types and I loved building stuff from them, especially when my cousin came over. I still like this so I might try it. Stuff like this really doesn't have an age. Smile

Was that the free multiplayer one that got cancelled when the guy went retail or something?

I really don't remember. I'm trying to come up with a name, but just can't. I think it was F2P and it did feel a bit rough, but it was still a blast, especially in multiplayer.

You have also the official Lego Digital Designer.
Don't know which is better.
