* Negotiations with possible investors, and with them the intended restructuring plan, have failed.
* JoWooD pulls back the application to pursue a restructuring plan.
* Thereby the insolvency with a planned restructuring becomes an insolvency without a positive continuation prognosis.
* This means the liquidation proceedings will start shortly.
* The daughter company JoWooD Distribution Services GmbH files for insolvency on April 21st 2011.
* Trading of the JoWooD shares at the Vienna Stock Exchange has been suspended.

They did publish a few good games. Silent Storm being one of them. I actually bought Soldat on a whim many years back..
I may just load it up again one day to remind myself of how bad games could be even in the good 'ol days.
joewood was well known for buggy games with buggy ai and budget titles..
anyone lol remember that RTS they made about the time of the amd XP series of cpus, lol the AI were speeded up massively if you had a fast cpu making the game unplayable for almost everyone who bought it until a patch was released how the hell does somrething like that get past QA?
I like Jowood. They didin't test the games properly, some games were released in an abominable state, but they did give a lot of new devs support to do their own thing.
Funny how everyone bad mouths Jowood, but then sits here and lists game after game they enjoyed
I also liked Jowood. Silent Storm is one of my all time favourite games. Heck 1 of only 2 games I've gone to the trouble of importing (space rangers being the other)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure Piranha Bytes ruined Gothic, not JoWood who fucked them with their hunger for money, then fucking the franchise even more with the forth installment in the Arcania franchise. Oh yeah, don't you guys remember that great franchise named Arcania?
