Most of the good artists sounded just as good live as they did on an album; even better was that you often had stuff like this happening much more often. Most of them can sing just about anything, make it their own without fucking up the original.
Agreed, it's a fantastic song -- as most of MJ's were. The guy was an absolute legend, uncontested genius.... who just happened to go a little bit crazy towards the end. The penalty of having a childhood ripped away from you, I guess.

I find that last part hard to believe
Marvin Gaye, Beach Boys, The Who, the Stones, Led Zeppelin - just to name a few that fit quite well in this thread. I personally don't like the Beatles for shit (except for Let it be, which is awesome <3). Most of these continued well into the 80's (or beyond) and their style didn't really change THAT much since the 60's
Lots of stuff you either love or hate in the 60's (mostly thanks to some enlightening substances ), but I seriously doubt you dislike it all

I dislike 60s music, overall Me saying "I like 80s music!" doesn't automatically mean "I like every single piece of music made in the 80s!! OMGOMGOMG!!" On the whole, I love 80s music and, again, on the whole; I dislike 60s music.
