People please help me.

I downloaded the game, installed it sucessfully and tried to run it.
The very first time (right after installing) it worked. Then I turned off my comp and later when I tried to run it again, it starts loading up the game and then crashes with this message....



Im aware there are updates/patches out, but which one do I apply?

Also, Im running ZoneAlarm, and blocked out Steam cos the NFO said you dont need it to run HL2.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

If you don't want to let hl2 connect to internet you have to setup the game in offline mode. Read the nfo for an update from vengeance.
