Well today i found out i have been scammed of 875 pounds through my online banking, good news is my bank will fully refund pheewww.
So i had a mooch around my pc today and found a few major probs i need help with.
1 i cannot now sign into windows live messenger, when the screen comes up is says logging into social feeds etc, but just as the screen pops up where my contacts show up, everything is blank and shows no contacts?
2. this seems troublesome n alarming to me.
I just had a look at my useraccounts on my pc, I've only ever had one which is mine.
I went to add or remove useraccounts to see what account are on and there is an account that is 'password protected' which is called 'ASP.NET MACHINE ACCOUNT'.????
what the hell is this?
Can some one help me here please?
Thanks .

The ASP.NET account gets installed with .NET framework. It can be deleted.

I don't want to be a bitch here, but what do you expect? Most users here are european, they probably had better things to do in the middle of the night than removing malware...
For the future, well, get a decent firewall, and maybe a virusscanner. And don't install software that you don't know and no toolbars. Don't wanna sound rude, but 99% of the time this stuff can be prevented by just being a bit careful. Just saying.
“The only way to deal with an unfree world is to become so absolutely free that your very existence is an act of rebellion.”

Would have also helped if it had been posted in the right section.

No, that won't stop it. Also why do you think somebody had remote access to your pc? That ASP account is legit and MSN acting weird doesn't mean somebody has messed with it. IF somebody has had remote access to your pc they probably still have it. Better format and reinstall, and this time use a good firewall and don't install programs you don't trust.
However you have no reason to believe somebody had remote access to your pc....
