Well it has taken me a while....
But I have come to the horrible conclusion that gaming the newest en most gorgeous games that require computers that cost more then the average girlfriend pretty much lost my interest.

So a friend decided he would like to buy my computer (not the monitor etc) for 800 euro so I could get a new simple desktop computer and even keep some money.
Also to get rid of this oversized big PC case and save some space.

Coolermaster Cosmos 1000
Intel i5 3500K
Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3
8GB DDR3 Corsair XMS3
Sapphire HD5870 Vapor-X
Some old 1TB HDD
Coolermaster Silent Pro-M 700W

So 800 euro seems like an okay price? Cause I am not used to selling such things.
The Video card is pretty old (almost 2,5 years now since I got it), and it was free cause of warranty lol. traded my broken 4870X2 after over 2 years for this 5870 and even got 77 euro back.
Rest of the components apart from HDD and Case cost me 530 euro.
And the PC case has been with me from the start Very Happy

And I want a new desktop that is for the basics like music listening, downloading, checking porn and simple gaming (atm only League of Legends).
Price range around 500/600 euro.

EDIT: Some more info down below after some replies.

You can build all of them for far less money if you do it yourself.

+1

And have better components.

If I were to build a system that would not need a dedicated gfx-card, I'd probably go for a htpc build, with a Mini-ITX mainboard or at least a Mini-Tower with a m-atx board.

I would actually have alot of fun putting such a system together, and I would probably begin by searching for a nice case, in which I would invest a good amount of money. Smile

This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Thanks for the replies, that did get me thinking to build a computer myself indeed.
Didn't really feel like choosing all the components again and take the easy way but that's not recommended it seems.

It does seem to give me better options looking at the prices.
(store which is like a 20 minute drive has all stuff in store most of the times, so no long order waits etc.)

Came up with this system which does offer a good Videocard (at least I think):

CASE: Zalman Z11 Plus
CPU: Clueless atm, aiming around 150 euro (Intel though).
MOBO: ASRock B75 Pro3-M
GFX: MSI N660 TF 2GD5/OC
MEM: Doesn't matter as long as it's 8GB DDR3 cause it's so cheap.
HDD: Doesn't matter either, 500GB is enough for me.
PSU: Clueless, I don't know how much I would need. but 500W/550W perhaps.

This system would be around 650 euro.

Anything wrong with this build? Something that might conflict? CPU ideas are welcome.

That's plenty for a system like that. As for the CPU, go for an i5 3330 or something along those lines. Still quad cores, still Ivy Bridge. They sit at around 150 EUR (just above). Or get a 3210, which is 50 EUR cheaper, but a dual-core with hyperthreading.

I personally would opt for this case btw: http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/326934/fractal-design-core-3000-usb-30/specificaties/ Razz

With actually a proper processor then Wink (unless the cheap mobo prevents the "K" from unlocking/oc'ing?) (and i hope the PSU Werelds suggested would be sufficient enough for this CPU)

Ram COULD be a little cheaper for going for value ram.

Plus i went with a little cheaper HD7850 2GB, unless you want nvidia per se?

Tho i would say to get an SSD instead of a HDD.. Or if you really want the HDD, for €14,- more you get the 1TB version.. Wink

GTX 650 Ti Boost is pretty nicely priced for basic gaming.

For being a budget card, that's a pretty damn sublime score for Battlefield 3, so that should give you the average idea of what the card is capable of.

Hmm looking at benchmarks that one is just as good, if not a little faster then the HD7850.

But you do need to get 2GB, 1GB is too low these days for vram Razz

Updated with this nvidia card included, €590 (exc verzendkosten enz Razz)

Awesome replies!

So you're saying it's better to spend a bit more on that processor and take that GTX650 instead.
Makes sense, looking at the performance between 650 and 660, not much.

edit:
Can't seem to find a 2GB version in the store I am planning to go to (cdromland, breda for dutch people).

Thanks gonna look into that.
If that's not too much hassle I might order it.

Otherwise I might stick with the GTX660 and see if I can go for a bit cheaper CPU.
That way I can buy all at once.

Well if you go to the shop yourself to order those parts, you might wanna try to make a deal with them (DON'T let them tell you got get other parts tho).

You could get a nice discount there if you tell them that you are planning to buy all parts there if they offer you a nice discount, otherwise it would be cheaper to get them from different shops Razz

If you really don't care about games anymore, buy a 75-100 euros GPU and invest in an SSD.

Yeah but why would someone here in the NL be so stupid to get his product from a German webstore?!
You know what a fucking pain in the ass it is when you need to return something for repairs?!

No fighting people! Very Happy

Might take a drive today and probably will be getting the 3570K + the GTX660.
This combined with the other cheap but good components it should make for a pretty solid system I hope.
And keep me below 700 euro so will stick 150 in my pocket.
