I have The Punisher PC game installed on my computer. Everything works fine, the movies, there is sound in the menu. But as soon as it gets "ingame" all sounds just disappear! Not even music.
I even get sound in the sound test in the setup menu. Anyone got an idea?
I'm using SoundMAX and the is drivers from last year, there hasn't been any update since then. Plz Help!
Hi,can you tell me why i cant start the punisher? everytime i click on the launcher it says: cant find entrypoint from procedure_binkcopytobuffer@44 ...
the same problem until today.
I have allmost played the game until the end of the game and today I wanted to play Desperados but I didnt succeed the game crashed before I was able to play ... But the good thing is that the game desperados wanted the ADPCM codec but the game didnt wanted to start anyway but when I installed the codec I tryed The Punisher to check if the sound worked properly and it does ..
Here is the solution:
Choose Start > Control Panel > Add hardware. Click ‘Next’.
Choose 'Yes, I have already connected the hardware', then click ‘Next’.
Choose 'Add a new hardware device' (at the bottom of the list) and click ‘Next’.
Choose 'Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)', and click ‘Next’.
Select 'Sound, video and game controllers' and click ‘Next’.
Select '(Standard system devices)' and click 'Have Disk'.
Click 'Browse' when you get the 'Install From Disk' dialog box and open the C:WindowsSystem32 folder.
In here you will find the mmdriver.inf file. Select it and click ‘Open’.
Click 'OK' in the 'Install From Disk' dialog box.
If you see a warning about logo compatibility, just click 'Continue Anyway'.
Now you should see a list of audio codec’s. Amongst it you should find Microsoft ADPCM Audio Codec and IMA ADPCM Audio Codec (the two that I was missing) and many others. You can install what you require from here.
You need to install them one by one so select each in turn and click ‘Next’. This should re-install the codec (for the IMA ADPCM you will need your Windows XP CD, and for both you will need to restart your computer before the codec works). Repeat the procedure for each codec for which you need support
c:windows\servicepackfiles\i386\MSADP32.ACM for the ADPCM codec.
If you are asked for a .dll file with the IMA codec, use the one in the system32 folder.
Good Luck!!!
I have copied this solution from another site and I didnt had to use the Windows XP anything at all. If it pops up that you are missing a file from a CD then just search for the file on your computer and you will find what you are searching for
