Okay guys, this is not a joke. Epic Mickey 2 is coming to the PC. Yeap, we are not joking and that was revealed in the Paris conference that took place today, by both Disney and Junction Point Studios. In that very same conference, it was confirmed that the title will hit streets on September 26th in Europe for Wii, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. We don’t know whether the PC version will be delayed or not. Hopefully we’ll get an official announcement about the PC version in the coming days, so stay tuned for more.
Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two returns Mickey Mouse and Oswald the Lucky Rabbit to Wasteland, an alternate world filled with 80 years of forgotten Disney characters and theme park attractions. But for the first time, Mickey and Oswald will join forces as true partners – Mickey with his magical paint brush that allows him to wield paint and thinner, and Oswald with his powerful remote control that allows him to command electricity. This new co-op play further enhances the idea that “PlayStyle Matters” – a unique approach to gameplay pioneered by Warren Spector where players dynamically tackle different challenges in order to explore all possibilities and storylines, but with consequences for their chosen actions.
Staying true to Disney’s rich musical heritage, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is the first video game that can be described as a “musical.” At many points throughout the adventure, characters will advance the plot by expressing themselves in song, with all-original music and lyrics. In addition to this distinctive musical approach to storytelling, players will hear tunes and instrumentation that change based on their personal choices, ultimately allowing each player to “conduct” their own unique soundtrack. Disney Interactive has enlisted the help of Emmy award-winning composer James Dooley and noted lyricist Mike Himelstein to create these musical gameplay elements.
The magic of Disney will not only resonate through the game’s musical numbers, but also through the introduction of authentic Disney Character Voices talent who provide player direction through genuine character dialogue. In Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, all characters—most notably Oswald The Lucky Rabbit whose voice will be heard for the first time—will communicate by speaking to the player.
See, JB? See what I was telling you? This is the PC... this shit happens all the time. We don't get the first part, but we get the sequel.. and sometimes vice-versa.
BTW, you need the Wiimote to play this on PC, keyboard and mouse are not supported.
You know what's sad? I can't tell if you made that comment in jest or if you're serious. That's how bad gaming has gotten.
Regardless.....I can hardly contain my excitement *laced with sarcasm*.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

IIRC Epic Mickey 1 Wii runs quite well on the Dolphin emulator with the Xbox pad.
I'm still waiting for PC ports of Condemned 2, Saw 2 (yea I liked the first one) and RDR.
Odds are brutally against me in all 3 cases
Condemned 2 was decent but come on, Saw 2??And RDR?Do you need another Rockstar's port with shitty perfomance?RDR was a good game but not a masterpiece.
This is the same amateur site that claims that they got a press release from WB Games talking about a PC version of MK9, that no other site got, and who couldn't produce the actual text of the press release when asked.
I want this game on PC, but don't take this as confirmation, yet. This site is sketchy.
Correcting people since 2007 even if they're not wrong.
Strange though I imagine this will be easier to port since it's made for the X360 and PS3 and not the Wii like the first game was, though it could probably have been ported.
I own a Wii actually and have played the game somewhat but lately the Wii has only been used to update the different loaders and core files, about 500 games on that HDD but I've been busy with the PC lately and haven't had the time though there's a number of titles waiting to be completed.
(There's probably a 100+ new titles waiting to be downloaded too, could use a emulator but don't have the necessary Wii mote and Plus adapter for PC required to play some of the games, apparently all that's needed are two little lights mimicking that sensor and some way to get the controller working with the PC platform but there's probably guides for that.)
Since I haven't completed Epic Micky I don't quite know how it ends but maybe the sequel is more open and stand-alone since it targets the X360 and PS3 platforms and they didn't get the first game either.
Now, the gang in Redmond has said that version 1.5 will be coming in May, and will bring 10-joint skeletal tracking to let the sensor bar work while users are seated. The update also includes Kinect Studio, an app that allows devs to record, play and debug clips of users to fine tune their applications.
Industry veteran Warren Spector, well known for a variety of projects including the latest Epic Mickey game, thinks that ultra-violence in games is going too far.
Here's what he had to say:
"We have to stop loving it. I just don't believe in the effects argument at all, but I do believe that we are fetishizing violence, and now in some cases actually combining it with an adolescent approach to sexuality. I just think it's in bad taste. Ultimately I think it will cause us trouble."
...
"We've gone too far. The slow-motion blood spurts, the implement by deadly assassins, the knives, shoulders, elbows to the throat. You know, Deus Ex had its moments of violence, but they were designed - whether they succeeded or not I can't say - but they were designed to make you uncomfortable, and I don't see that happening now."
Might be right, I don't know, to me they're just games and it doesn't really matter since titles with strong gore aren't really that different than slasher flick movies which were popular some years ago and now and then sees some resurgence (Or what the term was.) although I believe games and movies are still not considered fully equal since the game is "interactive" or how it was said.
(Not that we need to glorify violence itself in video games but if it fits the game content and design and is done well I won't complain.)
See, JB? See what I was telling you? This is the PC... this shit happens all the time. We don't get the first part, but we get the sequel.. and sometimes vice-versa.
