Ever since I was blown away by the full extended Japanese gameplay video of Resident Evil 4, I have had exceptionally high hopes for this game. I cannot believe those scores have exceeded my expectations which makes me think this is easily my most anticipated and eagerly awaited game of 2005 on any system! My girlfriend has the Gamecube and hates these games but I would buy another Cube just to play this!

Good thing they decided to release it on the other platforms aswell. Too bad though that we ps2/xbox users will have to wait quite long for it, it really does look sweet.

Couldn't be bothered to get a crappy gamecube considering I already have both a PS2 and XBOX. I'll just have to wait.

I don't mind. Wink

GC has Mario and Zelda, it's enough reason to own one. Xbox and PS2 doesnt have anything interseting (that isnt coming to PC eventually) so id never buy one..

Will mod my cube next week Smile will be nice to finaly play / test all titles..

Yeah whatever. I guess you're just ignoring the fact that this is going to come out on Xbox and PS2 aswell.

There are plenty of games for both systems which are interesting, it all depends on whether you're into those types of games.

heh and you sir are ignoring the fact that first of all the ps2 will be a dumbed down(graphically at least) version second that it will be about a year wait and thirdly since there has been no official statement on the chance of an xbox ver and the fact that it wouldnt sell half as well it probably will never be a reality. anyways tho the reality is if anyone wants to play this game in all its glory they gotta get the gamecube--this game plus zelda later this year makes it absolutely worth it.

oh and gamespot just gave it a 9.6....above halo 2 AND halflife 2. sweeet. damn me getting 2 day shipping instead of express Sad

Personally I would have preferred to get a gamecube, rather then a PS2 but it's too late now and I don't have the cash.

a true gamer doesnt take sides, they appreciate what games the system has to offer. although the cube hasnt had its fair share of games, u cant deny its capabilities that have been proven through capcoms work. mario sunshine was excellent and so was the resident evil remake. i got all three systems and although the xbox is my fav, i will still play the others. the only downside is that my girl practically confiscated my gcube when animal crossing came out.

Yes it can read mini dvd-r's or full size dvd-r or +r (with the lid off), so mini dvd-r's are the way to go.

Why mod the gamecube? Did the PSO method die out?

I'll take it from that response that you've never tried streaming a gamecube game Razz

Figured the loaders would have come a far way from like.. a year ago. Guess not Smile

I do know what you're talkin' about though'.

Well, there is a new loader but it's still miles from being perfect and in my opinion playable. I would much rather play the game from a disc when i know its going to play and load at full speed. Also, there aren't any saving or memory card problems when playing from a disc and the graphical glitches that were resent in some games are gone aswell.

To be honest i just can't be arsed with the amount of time and hassle loading with PSO takes so thats one of the biggest reasons to get the chip IMO.

Can it realy play backuped games on dvd-r ? there is not so much info about the viper gc mod chips on most sites they say it can only run homemade tools divx player mp3 player etc but not burned dvd-r games...

Well i wouldn't say it could if it couldn't. You're obviously visiting the wrong sites. Either that or you are confusing the ViperGC with tmbinc's chip which doesn't boot backups or dvd-rs of any sort.
