If you ended Rayman Origins , and as I could not think of anything else besides that excellent soundtrack - which was a tremendous relief to the flood of regurgitated "Oh, if I get you" - then I bring you good news.
In a chat with Kotaku Brazil on Friday (30) gameworld in 2012 in Sao Paulo, Brazil CEO of Ubisoft, Bertrand Chaverot revealed that Rayman Origins will actually have a continuation. The game will be called Rayman 2 Origins and cost $ 129 in Brazil - an increase of $ 30 in the first game. According to Bertrand, the new Rayman arrives in the second half of 2012 fully translated into Portuguese in Brazil, like Assassin's Creed III .
Bertrand has promised more details about the game at E3 this year (more specifically, on June 5), but we can sleep peacefully: the aspiration of Ubisoft's mascot dismembered still far to go.
Looking good IMO. I like the ancient and mythological settings.
Unfortunately, I'm afraid single-player will get less attention in the sequel due to gameplay being more focused on 'Social Features'. Online co-op would be welcome, however.
And that Wii U tablet's capabilities look certainly ... intriguing. (But it's not like I care for Ezio jumping into my level. I'm more interested in the technology itself.)

Doubt they would create a whole new game just for the Wii U which isn't even out yet and doesn't even have an audience yet. Probably X360/PS3/PC and WiiU with the scan gimmick.
UPDATE: Ubisoft issued an official statement regarding the below video to VG24/7, clarifying that the video is NOT an official announcement trailer, but rather a sort of proof-of-concept video meant only for internal distribution.
Quote:
"An internal video showing images of Rayman Origins’ sequel has leaked over the Internet,” said the firm. “This video was intended as a purely internal demonstrative video, and in NO way represents the final game, the final console or their features."
So, essentially, none of what you're seeing in the video feature-wise is actually final. Meaning none of that crazy object-scanning stuff is actually confirmed (boo). That said, Ubisoft does at least confirm in the statement that this sequel totally exists, which means they're certainly working on things like this. Look, I don't even need all this crazy object-scanning crud. Just give me online co-op and more worlds to explore, and I'll be happy.
"Well we're not really saying it's a Wii U exclusive, although right now all we're showing is the Wii U [version].
"We're looking at a lot of different launch options so we'll keep you guys updated as soon as we know for sure, but right now we're just talking about the Wii U."

Whats the name of the greasy little cunt licker who runs ubisoft? Not only has the douche got a herpes encrusted anus, that bleeding mess has so many hemorrhoids, it looks like he's tryin to shit a bunch of grapes & it has been stretched so wide accomodating M$ n Sony it would swallow a mac complete with semi trailer, if he ever dared to climb into the cabin a one n take a seat.
Rayman Legends was set to go out on the WiiU b4 Xmas as an exclusive. Silly Nintetendo let Ubi off the hook by lettin em delay until Feb '13, so that WiiU sales were big enough at Rayman launch.
Wii sales haven't been huge but since most bought it to play Rayman on they Ubi woulda done well & then coulda mopped up any slack by releasing other ports b4 next Xmas.
But in the meantime M$ in particular tho prolly with Sony been throwing their weight around desperate to ensure the WiiU doesn't get established before their new consoles are rushed to market in an incomplete state late in 2013 (so M$ claims - I betcha they don't release it in a state anyone with sense would want to spend bucks on).
I bought a WiiU for the kid as a xmas pressie, solely because he was all set to Rayman it hard for a couple months. Now Ubi pull this shit.
I hope Ubisoft get fucked outta existence over this. They have allowed emselves to be used as a pawn to do Nintendo down and neither Sony nor M$ will respect em for that. Plus Nintendo may be wounded, but not even close to mortal hits.
So fuck ubisoft they are the mob primarily responsible for chasing games offa the PC platform with their piracy bulldust and now they are trying to knock off one of the few remaining console makers.
This thinking is so short sighted it defies belief.
Nobody is denyin ubi the right to put it out on other platforms - the issue is Ubisoft promoting Rayman legends as a wii U release b4 Xmas 2012 then delaying that release to allow time to port to other consoles, a total contradiction of what they had promoted.
As for buyin the Wii U I would have still bought it since the kid has pretty much every console made this century, he likes to collect em & bein a mad keen platformer missing a major nintendo release is unthinkable for him. I prolly would have delayed the purchase until I was sure the thing was bug free (& more reasonably priced) so far it seems to be bug free, tho that was purely good fortune.
It also meant that when I upgraded his PC at Xmas I didn't buy him as great a graphics card as I would have if I hadn't shelled out @$500 fer a wiiU as well.
It is a lame call to shout stupid just cause some kid has been sucked in by the wall to wall 24/7 lies n distortions games publishers spew out.
I thought about this a bit n decided that payin out a bit more now and again whilst the kids discover for themselves exactly whois who in the zoo, is a lesser evil than pumpin em full of bitter & twisted cynical mistrust toward everything in the world we live in.
That doesn't excuse creeps like the Ubisoft ceo, but it does deny him the power to alienate all the victims of his mendacious n covetous doubletalk.
It was pretty much obvious from the very start the game will appear on other platforms. I'd say you were stupid to buy a WiiU () in the first place.
Ninty paid and talked to ubi to get rayman exclusive for wiiu.
twas marketed as an exclusive only on wiiu
only w/ wiiu can you experience rayman
upad only levels
most demo stations only had rayman on them. not mario. not nintendo land.
nintendo pushed themsleves to advertise a product for ubisoft.
then ubi big hats decided to make more money selling it on other consoles.
can't blame them. during a big game drought on the wiiu, why would you release a game every wii u owner would buy instantly. Now it'll get bought on pc, 360, ps3, vita, wii u, maybe next gen consoles (it would be stupid if it's not coming to ps4 xbox 3) really stupid.
as for the console. it's impressive and pretty darn epic. going wiiu and pc only this gen since generic sequels of ips is plaguing ps4 and the new xbox.
