Milestone has confirmed that WRC 3, the official video game of the 2012 FIA World Rally Championship, is set for release in October 2012 on PS3, Xbox 360, Vita and PC.
The racer will use a completely new graphics and game engine, developed in-house, and features all the rallies in the 2012 WRC calendar, complete with all leading WRC teams and drivers in a revamped career mode.
As well as all this, the game has improved crowd effects, rebuilt stages and new cinematic introductions to each stage. It’ll also feature more than 50 official WRC teams, alongside Class 2 and Class 3 series, plus Super Special Stages.
what was the last game that featured full length rallies? or maybe there wasn't one? sick of these bite size 1-2 minute rally stages in recent "rally" games. 5-10 years ago rally games had stages 5-15 mins long, and now....

At least they could have decent physics. Colin 2 still has better physics than all Dirts and last two WRCs. Really, its a bloody rally game. They don't need to bother with AI, all their work should be focused on a decent driving model and fun stages. But apparently thats the last thing on mind for developers, they just spend all their time modeling absurd amount of cars, driving modes and generating countless generic tracks that all drive the same.
It looks just horrible..we can already see that physics will be once again extremely limited, meh
what's so horrible about it? snow stage looks pretty good, other ones not so much but nothing horrible
i actually finished WRC1 and had more fun with it than Dirt3

I was talking about the unrealistic behavior of the car, which seemed floating without a proper weight, a typical "feature" in arcadish pick and play racing games. Let's just say that I'm still pissed at the chronic lack of a rally sim
Maybe its from the protection of the game? Like drunk camera of gta4 ?
Seriously what is the idea of that camera??It just shake and move randomly,no matter car movement
Positive stuff from VVV. I must say i'm quite surprised..
Honestly I don't know, it looks better and slightly more refined than the previous game, but the road to become a good rally game is still long. If by any chance the guys at Milestone manage to churn out something "decent" this time, well, color me very impressed
