The Lumia is pretty much a business phone, the Windows Phone 7.5 hasn't reached it's maturity yet. You will find that there isn't a huge number of apps available for it either. It's stable though, very stable, and the performance is good. The screen looks and feels great. It all comes to your needs.

tested it on the store. sweet. completely different to the ios and android (that are, more or less, the same visualy speaking).

seems its gonna be my next cell.

best cell that i used is my iphone3. survived a lot of hard drops, looks like shit because of the scartches and missing buttons, but still does the job. im loosing signal, randmoly and that's why i have to change.

The fuck you talking about? Laughing Windows Phone 7 is anti-business as possible. Even an iPhone in iOS4 (let alone iOS5) is a much more applicable to business than WP7. You are confusing Windows Phone with Windows Mobile.

Where I work is a MS Lync shop for communication, and guess the only platform they don't make that for Wink

 Spoiler:

On topic, I probably wouldn't mind a lumia 800/900 but the piracy scene on WM7 doesn't exactly exist...

so.... at last i've took my choice. from saturday im a brand new user of the nokia lumia.

and what can i tell: it fits just perfect all my needs. it is a fast phone, i think its faster in many ways than the iphone 4s, it is good looking, the battery has no issues at all for me, (till now), windows phone 7.5 is a solid os; that is substantialy different from the ios and android; good looking and fast. has a perfect integration with office and the navegation "gps" alike system rocks.
apps for this phone are not as many as in ios and android, but it has the basics in it. twitter could be a lot better tho. i haven't tried facebook yet and i don't think i will (i hate that). whatsapp works wit np; so does adobe pdf reader, despite the critics of the users. (maybe for reading books is a hell, but for reading 10 - 20 pages papers that i need for work is more than good).

i think that if ms continues the good job we will have a serious competitor for ios and android, at least in phones. i think ios is a lot better but in the ipad. (haven't tried the android on a tablet yet).

im happy with my new phone Smile

EDIT: after two days of constant cell using, downloading stuff, getting familiarized with this phone, all i can say is that in the short time i won't switch back to iOS nor android, and that im allready a windows phone fan. Razz

after 3 months of using this... i can say... its crap!!

its a os that:
1.- hangs out in charging applications, randomly and without just cause.
2.- its complicated to tap and make calls while driving, because of the very much touches you have to give for searching a contact for example
3.- google mail does not work properly, some archives can't be read. (problem solved after mirroing the google account with a windows live account, which is better imo, but still a mayor error.
4.- no angry birds rio nor seasons nor space avaiable?? wtf??? Mad
5.- no youtube proper integration
6.- twiter just sucks on this phone.
7.- the possibility of monitoring or conecting to your computer via remote, isn't such. has too many glitches and errors.
8.- has bing as default instead of google. and bing definitily sucks by now.
9.- random crashes even in windows applications.
10.- whatsapp doesn't work as well as in other devices
11.- office is a joke.
12.- the camera sucks, even if it shouldn't according to the specs.
13.- has a stupid cover for the power cable that mess when you want to conect it at night, without turning the light on.

i have to say that this windows phone is very much a beta or even an alpha test.

only pros is the different and nice imo, aspect of the OS and the phone itself does look vey nice.

Well they will be releasing win8 phones, so maybe try switching :\

My friend has Samsung Omnia with win7 on it and I've seen it, and it looks sweet. Plus he has no problems with it...

I would want to get my hands on new win 8 phones when they come out (which should be in the autumn or so).

At first I was really skeptical about win phones, but after seeing the Omnia in action, I dk, looks really sweet to me. And the fact that you don't have million apps like in Android case isn't such a bit deal, because I really don't think I'd use those anyhow...

Could be in handy, an update to my personal feeling about this phone.

Microsoft DID change some many things in a recent update, that I dunno if it's the final version of the WP 7 OS, due to the abysmal lack of information.

It DOES improve the battery lifetime A LOT. A good thing.

Now, I'm trying to use Skype... abysmal... just... abysmal...
Typicall from MS: they own apps doesn't work on they systems Razz
