Turn based RPG according to Kickstarter site/video. Shadowrun is an interesting setting, and it deserves much better than that horrible fps.

What’s the deal with the “Sorry” thing in your video?

In 2007, Microsoft published a game called Shadowrun for Xbox and PC. The game was a unique and innovative first person shooter but it took way too many liberties with the Shadowrun story and mythology. As a result, the game “was not received well by fans.” Jordan’s partner, Mitch Gitelman, was the Executive Producer on the game and with Shadowrun Returns, he’s taking his shot at redemption. Let’s all be supportive of this mythic journey back from the dark side.

Why do I get the feeling that they throw in PC version just because they know they won't get the money otherwise?

You can? Confused

Being after the "and" has always been more prestigious in TV so maybe it's the same in games although I question the games quality since it will be on tablets at all

Well, Bethesda created a mod kit for Skyrim too, even though the console were the priority/lead platform. So that is not saying much there they release a level editor, tablets can still be the priority.

True. Which is my point. -> How can you ALREADY SEE THEIR PRIORITIES if you admit it's impossible to know the big picture from just a few words?

Claiming that "Apple & Android tablets and PCs" "clearly"means the PC version is an afterthought is as absurd as claiming that just because there's going to be a level editor, the PC version is "clearly" the lead.

Smile

As would I. Their tiers kind of suck but the game itself sounds like what I've been waiting for over the last 25 damn years or so Smile

They should have copied the wasteland tiers Smile They need to offer a boxed physical copy, relatively cheap. Smile

Sweet memories. Shadowrun was my favorite pnp game back then, the one I played the most and dug into the most, too. I've been waiting for a proper SR game ever since the 16bit console games.

Honestly? I don't even care that much about the rewards. For a brief second I even contemplated robbing a bank so I could give the all the monies.

Now you know why publishers never fund them either. It's not in house, too small of a team.. they might get overwhelmed, I can't directly control them, next!!

"Pure scam" in their opinion as well.

It's the same deal with the indie hype. 99% of those 'games' are garbage, but hey it's indie so it's all good rite

same as all / most other kickstarter projects.. that tactical shooter for example was on 3 platforms even and like a year to develop.

I think it's BS from the developers, for some reason they seem to think the less time people have to wait the more they'll be willing to fund their game.. personally i would feel more comfortable if they wrote 2015, which is probably closer to the truth too..

Not exactly. When you buy an indie title you know immediately if it's garbage, with kickstarter you drop the cash and have to wait a year to find out. Wink
