Just started to play the game today so far i am loving the electric/pistol (upgraded). I may not be far in the game yet (just entered the tea garden), but for all of you who have progressed in this game whats your fav combo????

Anything that works. You tend to run out of shit a lot at the end lol. I never like using anythign btu my shotgun and lvl 2 incinerate.

I've learned against using the freeze, you don't get the luxury of searching their bodies when it's been smashed into bits lol. I discovered a good use of telekineses though. Found a secret room filled with trap bolts, just picked up a dead body and used it as a meat shield lol. |

mmmmmmm... meatttt....
hey heres a question. when you pick up one of those powerup things, not the plasmids, but the body upgrades... i found that one at the beginning that gave health from hacking or some shit i cant remember... are those auto equiped or do you have to manually equip them? if so, how?

Those are called your gene tonics. You'll find quite a few through out the game as well as from taking pictures and researching. when you get one it'll ask you to choose a slot to put it in, if you don't have any open slots you'll have to either store it in your gene bank or replace your current one with it. You'll get lil machines you can walk up to and change em around but it takes a lil further in the game after your first one to actually use it since it's not really required till you start getting more of em. Once you get to your first adam machine you can buy more slots using your collected ADAM |

-water puddle = electric bolt
-oil lick = incinerate
-group of splicers = enrage
-Explosives = telekinesis
-dead big daddy = TELEKINESIS!

are you sure you can buy slots at the first adam machine? i did not see an option to buy an extra slot. the first adam machine is when you met the first little sister rigrht?

oh my mistake, it's been awile since I've been there. Theres different upgrades slots. Physical Slot, Mechanical Slot, and I think hacking slot. i don't remember if they were at the first machine or not. But you willg et them soon enough  |

Pretty sure the first non-plasmid slot you can buy is in Neptune's Bounty, you can only buy and extra plasmid slot in Medical.

I love most Incinerate + the heat seeking missile, and also incinerate + object + telekinesis.

i like using my electric plasmid and wrench to the head so easy and dosent use much. in the end of the game i only used guns when mucking around or i ran out of mana. used enrage when i could just to see the hilarious results.

i found the weapon system too complicated lol
so my most usefull hits were with the crowbar and electric plas fire when needed to unfreeze stuff)
also the telekinesis plad was usefull with the granades

Im just going through my hard playthrough. Camo + Electric buck. Thats the way to go. Also, using telekinesis to throw a body at an alive enemy is usually one shot kill. Doesnt work so well on big daddy's lol.

shock them then hit them in the head with the cross bow 1 shot kill plus you have a chance of getting your arrow back

depends on the situation & what I have at hand. I like to freeze then lay a bunch of trap bolts in the big daddy's path & finish him off with proximity mines...usualy dies at my feet hehe. Another one I like to do is use improved mind control on big daddy & bring him to a camera & use the targeting plasmid so he's friendly to me but my friendly security camera wil take him out for me. Or I just have him fight off another big daddy for me. Really depends on the situation I think.

When I first got enrage, and encountered my first big d I thought there was a splicer near by..... threw enrage on big daddy.
"you should not put enrage on single targets"
basically 1-2 shot me. LOL.

try placing a bunch of proximity mines on a barrel or a crate standing around, then pic it up with telekinesis and throw it at an enemy. Now thats fun
