When I receive packages from USA and UK there is always weight difference of about 300 grams. Packages have no traces of entry, it's just for some reason declared weight is higher than actual weight.

So, have a question to USA and UK folks. Is there some benefits for the companies to do so ? Or it's the person responsible for sending packages just earning a little bit of side money ?

Shipping companies sometimes just use weight classes.
0-1kg = 1kg, 1-10kg = 10kg (smaller/higher steps, depending on pack)
Also sometimes size = weight.
If we sent a pallet, we wrote 250kg, even if it was below that weight, since the size paid best there.
Atleast thats how we did it when I worked with that stuff.

It's all about the money Wink

I hate you.

Some shipping companies pay people who deliver packages to folks by the amount of kilograms or something like that

my cousin worked for DPD, and when I was driving with him few times, he had like a game in small package written as 5KG's..
