There are some android apps like endomondo, but I didin't really use it...
IMO you'd be better taking long walks and lifting weight (buy some weights and do it at home). Some results can be noticed quickly (few weeks), it's a good feeling.

I like to go swimming very much, as it basically trains your whole body and I don't find it as exhausting as running or lifting weights.

There's really nothing better than running (and/or swimming) to keep the extra weight off and get in great shape.
I've tried gym in the past but I did find it boring and honestly quite stressful for my body..not to mention all the individuals who populated it

I think he meant fruit instead of sweets. No use in eating just fruit and being hungry all day.

Even better is don't snack at all. Have some discipline!
Fact is any exercise is good, the hard part is finding something you enjoy so that it is not an effort to do it.
I did weights for years but I got bored, then I started judo and now that is all I do as there is so much to learn so it doesn't get boring.

Eat non-processed nuts as snacks, walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds, pistachio, they are very healthy and useful with vitamins and minerals, good for your heart and veins. Great for between meals and you fell 'full' afterwards you won't fell hungry. Can't take to many, especially if you're not active, they have a lot of calories but daily intake is recommended, consult a calories chart, they're usually for 100 grams. A fistful a day is recommended.
Not one thing in nature has everything so I use a grinder to combine walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds and eat that every morning with some integral bread and jam.

Pushups every 3rd day. Morining and evening right before sleep.
As much as You can't do at once like 3 times... 3min of rest and again as much as You can.
So thats like 20 minutes or even less on morning and evening and not even every day.
You need break to let muscles rest and rebuilt.
Ofc diet, but nothing hardcore

I need to start working on this also ... I am about the same age / buid as you and my main problem is actual time to work out. Between my work schedule, wife and my dog, I get on average 30 minutes of time per day for myself. usually i do not feel like working out by that time.
And weed does not help me with motivation either ...
fuck ...

If you want to try running, this is a good program http://www.c25k.com (Couch to 5k), lots of people have had success with it. It seems there are some phone apps for it too so that should be it pretty cool. In fact I think I will give it a go.

I've dropped from 210 to 190 pounds by just eating less. You dont even need to exercise. In fact it makes it harder for me because I get waaay hungrier after a lot of exercise and I tend to negate any caloric deficit from exercise through eating more.
Not that I avoid exercise, I just don't go out of my way to do it. I still enjoy hiking and biking etc but I dont have a set schedule. If you enjoy it go for it but I dont derive any pleasure from jogging or what have you. I do lift weights but I've done that since my teens.
