honestly, with a license that difficult and expensive to get as ferrari, they'd better be trying to replicate every car ferrari has made 1:1 ratio to the real thing, inside and out of the cockpit and under the hood.

if it is slightly mad then we know 1 thing already for sure:
1. customization system nearly as good as most wanted, arguably better.
and hopefully (since it's part of the test drive series):
2. free roam.

I don't think the developer cares, this is probably a marketing push from Imola. I hear Ferrari is in financial deepshit lately. Issues in F1 world and lots of inexpensive cars on maket that rival Ferrari in performance for 10 times less cash. But who cares.

true, but i never bought into that, if they want to seperate the two, drop the need for speed part.
just my opinion, but i'm sure it's more popular than i think.
and... honestly, the track only half of the need for speed games, have they ever done well?
let's take a walk down memory lane shall we?
1. NFS Pro Street, nearly everyone hated it and EA
2. NFS undercover, some hated, some loved, much more variety of opinions (e.g. not all negative like with 1.)
3. NFS Carbon, got rave reviews from some when it was released, again similar to 2.
4. NFS Shift, marginally better response from fans + reviewers, a fair amount to arguably a lot enjoyed it, most agreed it was "too arcadey" for a full on track racing game though.
5. NFS Hot Pursuit, mixed reviews again, free roam re-added overall more positive reactions from fans/reviewers than 1.
6. NFS Nitro/World/The Run, not a real game except for (arguably, barely) the run, very few positive comments, mostly "dear gods get it away" type responses from fans, fans imply reviewers don't know what they're talking about anymore.

NFS Shift 2, a real racer in the true legacy of [T]NFS) was soooo gooood best since, hurr, Most Watned, but damn if only there were cops and free roooaaaaam and CGI story hurr durr

that's not what i said, i said in my opinion it was the the best since most wanted because FINALLY the game had worthwhile customization again, in other words, 1 out of 2 isn't bad.
