Hmmm... at least in oblivion that would happen if you or some mod changed the font on the oblivion.ini but did not have it present on the data folder.
Changing back to the default font or adding the requested font file to the mentioned folder will likely solve it.

Or it's there but you may need to change it's name to that "Palatyno" bullshit, since the font's name should be Palatino.
Damn ruskie mods... Cool Face

Isn't there an ENB preset for this? Would probably look much better than what you currently use, if there is one

HUD always looked small. And something is wrong with your picture, doesn't look like Morrowind we all know. Especially if you haven't finished the main story.

Its an intersting project for MW fans, but how long until the overhaul 3.0 is compatible?

As it is now, OpenMW does not give "the player" alot more than vanilla morrowind with mods does.

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Most if not all mods already work with OpenMW.

Why so much hate towards the original graphics? IMO, texture and model replacements in overhaul 3.0 completely destroy the feeling, it's not the original game anymore. I play only with antialiasing and increased draw distance, the rest is just right (yes, even horrible NPC models, because nostalgia).

Nothing is wrong with high res textures. Also increased draw distance did break the immersion because of the blight storm you shouldn't see more than 5 meters ahead of you Laughing

Although I also played with increased draw distance, Grazelands, Bitter Coast and that part around Vivec looked really good So Much Win

he is right about skywind also, no way that skywind will get that depth.

Good video. Something as deep and free from constraints like Morrowind will most likely never get replicated, the new generations of gamers simply don't have the patience to sit through such a huge world with no one telling them what to do, it's unthinkable. They want visceral combat, hand-holding, and be champions with little effort. It's not that Morrowind didn't have flaws, but that approach today would result in many 5.9/10s from IGN and the likes. And it's indeed pretty damn sad. Razz

I hope Skywind will manage to retain many of those hidden stats and sense of accomplishment without dumbing down anything, but it's not an easy task. I have some faith though^^

I'm at work and I can't watch it all, but he's right about Skyrim and the anti climatic end battle. You don't really get any sense of accomplishment in any of the vanilla fights. You certainly can with mods but it's still flawed.

His game looks great but it doesn't really look like the vanilla version. Is there a way to mod it to have all of the good stuff in some stable way? I'm less concerned with the graphics than I am with the world and other improvements.

I believe he uses Morrowind Overhaul as a base (or at least it looks very similar), but he probably has more additional stuff on top of that.

edit: oh right, he actually listed the mods in the description. It's indeed MO, plus Tamriel Rebuilt Very Happy

I wish I had an answer for that..I'm still waiting to collect ~100 hours of free time to play through the game again, properly modded, and discover it Okay
The only thing that I'm sure of, is that the mod is still very work in progress and there's no timeline yet.

Back when I last played Morrowind they had released part 1 (of 6) as a beta and from what I remember they only focus on adding the remaining landmass of Morrowind around Vvardenfell.

Some small modifications were done to the existing content in Morrowind such as setting up fast travel but otherwise I don't think they modified much at all besides the new content they added.

Back then releases were also tiered and perhaps they still are so part 1 was released first with just the landmass and NPC and were then gradually updated with dialogue, quests and other adjustments.

By now I think there's three parts available so the first one at least should be pretty feature complete and the second part is probably in a pretty finished state too. Smile

The team also added some other weapons and armor such as finishing partial armor sets like nordic chain and nordic trollbone plus a few entirely new pieces of equipment such as house dres bonemold style armor. Smile
(Pretty sure they also fleshed out partial weapon sets such as adding a ebony katana and dai-katana and so on.)
