Great news all you Adventure fans as Wadjet Eye Games, Known for Gemini Rue, Resonance, The Shivah, and Blackwell, are going back in time with another fantastic looking Adventure title! Golden Wake as it's now known will be set against the backdrop of the Florida Land Boom of the 1920s

Everything by Wadjeteye is great, will definitely preorder it whenever it's possible. Smile

Although keep in mind that Wadjeteye is only a publisher, only games made by them are the Blackwell games, Shiva and Emerald City Confidential.

Everything else is done by different teams.

its by Grundlislav of Ben Jordan fame ... he single handed brought back his version of Gabriel Knight to AGS

so that smirk guy lured him ... he wanted at first that Francisco made part 8 as a retail game and he would sell it tough his site .. but he said nope

so guess he caved in ... dunno if it will be good , Francisco Gonzalez could only do paranormal stuff

What would you say makes Golden Wake a unique adventure game?

The setting is one that isn't seen too often in adventure games, and the fact that it's based on real history. Also that the protagonist is a real estate agent, and isn't out to save the world or get the girl. Instead, the story is about his struggle trying to make a name for himself and the consequences of giving in to temptation and being corrupted by the crime world. I don't think the whole "rise and fall/man vs himself" archetype has been explored very much in games.

Seems very interesting. Smile
