CPU - Intel E8200 @ 2.66GHz (had this around the house for a while)
Mobo - Asus P5G41T-M LX
Mems - Corsair DDR3 4096MB 1333Mhz CL9
VG - Asus GeForce GTX 560 1024MB DDR5 DirectCU II (GPU @ 810MHz, Mems @ 4008 MHz, 256 bytes)
HDD - Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB 32Mb
PSU - Corsair Builder Series CX500W V2
Chasis - RAIDMAX Cyclone
Secondary (budget) monitor - BenQ G2222HDL - 22 inches, 1920x1080, 5ms.
Any thoughts on what to change/keep?
I will either gift the PC or keep it as a back-up, lately there's been a lot of power outages and I am beginning to worry about everything in my current setup.

Definitely the processor if you want to spend as little as possible. Get 2500k or 3570k with some z77 motherboard+4gb more ram. You dont need to change anything else.Performance difference will be huge.Maybe other bigger monitor but it is uo to you.

My primary setup has a 2500k(Asus P8Z68-V) with 8 GB's and an Asus 560Ti DCUII. As I said, I want to keep this as a back-up or gift it to one of my less fortunate buddies.
Plus, I already have the E8200.

Since there are risks with the E8200, I decided on an i3 with an ASRock Z68 Pro.
It amounts to the same money except I will not get the second monitor. Oh and I also changed the mems to the same quantity but clocked @ 1600MHz and a Seagate Baracuda with 1 TB of space and 64MB's of cache. Also, SATA3.
