Beyond's subtitled Two Souls, and centres around character Jody Holmes and her link with the afterlife. The game follows her story over 15 years as she comes to terms with her gift, and was unveiled in an impressive real-time gameplay demonstration.
Ellen Page's involvement is seen as key by director David Cage. "I'm sure that all gamers will instantly fall in love with her," said Cage

Why all quantic dreams games are avaible only on ps3 Not a problem. I've just watched ps3 playthrough of heavy Rain on Youtube 3080, ps5, lg oled Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..." Prior to that, they did Omikron - which was PC and Dreamcast based. It's only been Heavy Rain and, now, Beyond that are PS3 exclusive. Heavy Rain originally started off as a PC title but meh... Sony has deep pockets

So many people piss and moan about QD's titles, going on about them "not being games, but button simulators" - when the truth couldn't be farther from. They're interactive movies, yes, but they are filled with gameplay nonetheless. Omikron, Fahrenheit, Heavy Rain. I bought my PS3 just because of Heavy Rain and I've never regretted it.

Same here. Heavy Rain was the main reason for me choosing PS3 over X360 and, despite my huge expectations, it didn't dissapoint. Au contraire.

The game has a lot of gameplay, actually, but it just isn't the type of gameplay people are used to, nowadays. You have to think, follow the story very cautiously, even crossreference evidence and make actual, unchangable choices with actual, unchagable consequences - all of these things aren't really that popular with today's gaming. AND, it doesn't automatically reward you with a good ending for just sitting in front of the screen for 20 hours. That has to be a mortal sin.

To be honest, in a way, QD games are an evolution of the old, point&click adventure genre.

concept art looks better than the game \o/ if they went for a cell shaded look like in the concept art then this game would be a 10/10 but the whole realistic look to it... is a yay and a nay. I hope it gets delayed and put on ps4. I mean... you can really tell that the ps3 is getting serious hits with this game. Sad

While I agree the PS3 is no match against a GTX 670, I would rather play this game in 2013 versus 2023 on PS4 CFW. Very Happy

people RAGED like CRAZY about this...thats why they made Heavy Rain vr2.00 Directors cut and to lure people it to buy it again they added ALL DLC IN THIS , fixed the story line , FIXED THOSE GLITCHES and added move support Laughing

I bought heavy rain at launch and finished it unpatched, I don't remember any major issues.

However it was a long time ago so maybe I am remembering with fondness (I also got a ps3 for heavy rain)

Bought the PS3 because of Heavy Rain. Omikron, Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain are totally my kind of games I think it's great they focus on displaying emotions to be as natural as possible. Of course, Beyond Two Souls = insta buy.
