Downloaded this, but don't have a DVD Burner, so tried to mount in Daemon-Tools and Alcohol 120%, but got an "invalid image" error. Used Ultraiso to convert to bin/cue and it mounted ok with Daemon-Tools. However on installation it said the file Encarta/EE/PRON.EIT was missing. Anybody got an idea what this is and any way round it?

TIA for any help.

I have that release and it worked fine. Your copy is probably corrupted so you'll need to download a new one.

I have to agree with razor on this one. The original error is the true indicator that the download is incomplete, chances are it failed the CRC and crapped out. When you converted it a new CRC hash was added to the image based on the data you have download, thus no more CRC errors, but missing files when it comes to installing.

Re-Download, or check to make sure what you have is complete and try to resume?

But I checked it with my par2 files in the first place and everything was fine. I know I wasn't the only one to get the "invalid image" problem, because others highlighted that on newzbin.com, but nobody else has said they had this problem. Strange.

The par files could of been made based on an imcomplete rar set. Its possible, but shouldn't happen. Either way, the symptoms described say broken/incomplete release to me, but I havent looked into the release so I might not have all of the needed information.

Why don't you check the MD5 hash to see if it matches the source file's?

OFFTOP: I've kept an old Microsoft Encarta 98 Deluxe 2CD set around. Low res images and no video, all that crap, but I wonder how much I need anything better...

I mean, between Wikipedia and the 98 discs, has the Microsoft encyclopedia been updated enough in 7 years to warrant an update?
