I recently bought a ps3 and am using it as a media server.
Now, I have that cinavia error sometimes. I browsed the net but all I can find are workarounds that don't work.
Is there a way to workaround?
OR is there a way to determine if it's there?
Maybe downloading another version, I just want a way to check if it works.

There is no workaround unless you're on a CFW variant, I'm afraid. Cinavia is hardcoded into the machine and you either need to run Showtime, a Rebug/Debug "Cinavia disable" options or a custom made FW that has Cinavia patched out at the FW level.

There is no way to check using the file itself at the moment, but for a list of affected movies you can look at:

Anything by Sony will almost certainly have it. Luckily, most of their movies are shit.

There is some kind of work around, but you have to do it every 20 minutes when the Cinavia message pops up. Manually set your time and date 1 year ahead, that gives you 20 minutes too watch, then you have to do it again.

Yeah, I tried it with The Woman in Black. Had to change the date like 4/5 times, but yeah it worked.
